I don't think I have ever seen such a mismatch between two teams in any sport, this is not a contest, its just one-sided domination. If this was a boxing match the referee would have stopped it in the 1st round, about 30 seconds in.

We only had two decent sessions in the series and both of them were due to our bowlers - 1st Test when they had Eng 60 odd for 5 in Eng's 2nd innings, and 2nd test when they had Eng at 120 odd ofr 8 and bowled them out for 220. Our batsmen, barring Dravid, were the biggest culprits. They never managed to score any runs and in the 2ns test when Eng were bowled out cheaply they still managed to throw away the match. Bowlers should at least be rated higher than the batsmen. Minus 100 should be reserved for selectors/administrators/BCCI.

Never saw even a weak team giving up like this. Overall body language of the team on the field, motivation, aggression, desire everything was missing. Individual Performances Virender Sehwag : -1/10 He chose to play in IPL and delayed his surgery. India missed him in first 2 tests. He arrived and played directly in the series. No fitness, no preparation at all. Lack of professionalism and disrespect to test cricket. Survived only 8 balls in 3 innings. Even tail-enders did better than that. Gautam Gambhir - 1/10 Poor batting performances, couldn't give starts for India. He was in the news more because of injury than anything else. Abhinav Mukund - 2/10 He played in WI. Showed desire to perform. But it was a tough series. Certainly better than Gambhir as he fielded and remained fit for India. Rahul Dravid - 8/10 Once again showed his ability in toughest series for India. Batted well, but couldn't convert those centuries into big ones because of lack of support. Only player who showed complete professional attitude with class on this tour. He went to WI. He was not in good form and he chose relatively easier series against WI to get back into the form. Other players should learn from him. He looked fittest player on this tour. He worked hard and his presence was 1 good thing for this Indian team. Sachin Tendulkar - 2/10 Can't say that he lacked commitment. He got few starts, but couldn't convert it. Deduction of points for missing the WI tour. This was important series and he should have remained in touch with that WI series. He is not ahead of Mukund because Mukund is a lesser skilled and new player. Expectations were higher from Sachin and he failed. VVS Laxman - 2.5/10 He batted better than Sachin and Mukund. But failure to converts those half-centuries hurt India badly. His presence on the field was not a good sight. It seemed as if he didn't want to be on the ground. That's why he is only marginally ahead of Mukund and Sachin. Suresh Raina - 1/10 Point for that innings in Lord's and his presence on the field. Bowled well, fielded well. His batting is horrible and he is not a test player. As simple as that. MS Dhoni - 4.5/10 Poor captaincy. Walking wicket in first 3 tests. But he didn't put his head down. He will learn a lot from this tour. He kept for more than 600 overs in this series. His keeping was not good to watch, but still he didn't drop many catches. He scored over 150 runs in 3rd test and was dismissed only once. This is something which our entire top order failed to do. Praveen Kumar - 7/10 This guy was workhorse of the team and gave his 100%. 15 wickets in 3 tests. Our whole team has taken only 13 wickets in last 2 tests. Tells a lot about his performance. Ishant Sharma - 4/10 Bowled his heart out. He often had no idea what to do. Lack of support, but not lack of commitment. Sreesanth - 1/10 Didn't prepare for this series and disrespect to test cricket. He tried hard in few spells. But he never continued the same intensity in next spells. Often it was like 1 decent spell, then 2 very bad spells and then end of the day. His didn't look fit either. That prevented him from bowling with same intensity for whole day. Zaheer Khan - -1/10 Fitness issues. Probably he started the debacle for India. Harbhajan Singh - 1/10 Very poor performance. He shouldn't play test cricket for some time. Amit Mishra - 1/10 Another rubbish bowler for India. He got chance to bowl on the pitches which offered little bit of assistance. RP Singh - 0/10 He was not fit. He should have been fit even if he was not expecting a call. Like Harsha said representing India is highest part of your life. Give you 100%. Extremely bad bowling performance. He didn't get negative point because it was not his fault that he was selected. Team management - -1/10 Keeping Zaheer Khan in the team till 2nd test was a very bad decision. Selectors - -2/10 They were horrible. How can you select a bowler who hasn't played FC cricket for so long? How can you select an unfit bowler? How can you select a bower (Sree) who hasn't done well in domestic cricket either and constantly degrading his performance for last few years. Why Munaf didn't play any match? Why a young new bowler was deprived of opportunity he deserved? BCCI - -1/10 Keep on treating players like donkeys. Note : A score below 4 means that if your past performances are not considered then you should be dropped from the team based on performance in this series. 4 means you should play next series. -ve points means you're disgraceful.

On the one side you have a collection of highly skilled, extremely professional athletes led by a superb, meticulous coach, intent on dominating Test cricket. On the other side...well some fat, unfit dudes who don't even want to be in England, leave alone fight hard on the field (with a couple of exceptions). If Bangladesh had produced the sort of performances the Indian cricket team has over the last month, there would have been strident calls to kick them out of Test cricket once and for all. India will get away with the mockery they have made of Test cricket, however.

If Bangladesh had produced the sort of performances the Indian cricket team has over the last month, there would have been strident calls to kick them out of Test cricket once and for all. India will get away with the mockery they have made of Test cricket, however. Couldn't agree more. I would expect a better performance even from Zim who haven't played a Test in years.

That's true and Tamim Iqbal did much better than most of the Indian batsmen barring Dravid.
