Easier to be a high scorer in sub continent

There is an arguement to be made that Tendulkar and Dravid although great batsmen benefit from slower wickets that do less for the majority of their time at the crease. In English, SA and Aus conditions the ball does more of the pitch etc. Discuss

Dravid averages more in ENgland than in India . Tendulkar averaged more as well before this series. So did Ganguly. Lords is one of the flattest pitch in the world. You just ran into an under-prepared Indian side. Also have a look at Ponting's record, Lara's record in India.

No doubt England has outclassed India in every department in Test series but it still has to win in the sub continent to prove they are champions. Until then, the number 1 ranking is theirs well deserved. Also, it would be interesting to see how the ODI series goes.

Averaged more *before* this series.....:giggle:

England has always been a high scoring venue for India except this series. India beat you by an innings for christsake at Leeds in 2003. Dravid 148, Tendulkar 193, Ganguly 128. You are just having a fantastic run. But don't include this run with previous visits of India as you lost on one occasion and drew on another occasion.

Just saying that your home conditions are easier to ours
its not, if you think that way, you are delusional. Batting is easy in india with hard new ball, but gets difficult with soft ball.

So you accept yourself that both places have their own challenges . And you need different skills to play on either wickets. So what was the point of this thread ? Obvious troll. Just dont create a thread just to prove Indians are poor for your feel good factor. Dont be delusional. One bad series is not the end of the world for India and a home win for England means nothing. At home, they anyways should be winning, why overzealous ?
