asterix
This is the problem with Ranji pitches.. Batsmen score big and inflate their stats and then get a chance to play in international matchs and then :fail: All the matches should be held on cement or matting pitches..Let those batsmen take few blows on their bodies before qualifying for the higher stage.. asterix
If we had some phasst bowlers maybe :giggle: We will. Change the pitches, you'll see more and more fast bowlers coming up.. How can you expect to have roads as pitches where any batsman worth his pinch of salt has a great chance of scoring hundreds (infact BIG hundreds). Imagine how much the bowlers had to toil..What could be any motivating factor to bowl on these roads? Link to comment
Trundler27
The bowling has been largely dissappointing and that is no surprise. Only the Delhi seamers sangwan and awana, alongwith discard rp singh returned impressive figures. I'm extremely down on tyagi's effort and it looks like the UP attack is a full on trundler attack like that of karnataka. I was also dearly hoping that Bengal would play Shami but that is not the case. He would form a solid seam attack along with dinda and bose. The batters have shone also as expected. The first half of the season is beneficial for the batters and when the pitches start to break-down in the latter half of the season, we see quite a few low scores. So a new season begins along well expected lines. Link to comment

Actually the Punjab vs UP pitch where Mandeep scored 150 was an excellent pitch.New ball swung for considerable time in both first and last session. U cant just generalize every pitch like that. bulbul
usual start from Karnataka...Utthappa Zero. Quick 50 from Manish and rest of the batsmen going slowly towards a respectable score... Link to comment
