1983-2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 b3y8UC2Uo7o Varun Aaron bowling to Andrew McDonald
rahulrulezz Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I love this video angle n style.. Looks so realistic n u can actually feel the pace of the ball unlike the one which comes on tv (looks so mechanical).. and tbh even if he is bowling 90mph+, u can feel that ball is not unplayable.. I mean I remember playing tapeball matches with my Pakistani friends in Uni with only 16 yards concrete pitch and I can gurantee that ball used to come way quicker than this... Makes me feel good that I prolly played above 90mph+ deliveries
rahulrulezz Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 and coming back to video, I can sense that V Aaron can easily bowl quicker than this.. for christ sake, he just landed 2 days back..I hope team management forget about his economy and give him chance to play all the matches

the don Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 seems like his runup needs a lot of work .. id b surprised if he turns out to be an express bowler
1983-2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 looks like this video was shot on an iphone or htc
panesarv Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 seems like his runup needs a lot of work .. id b surprised if he turns out to be an express bowler +1
Rahul Dravid Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 hes just been there for a couple of days.. + it was a twenty twenty.. give the young man a break.
speed_demon Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 nice video, shows there wasn't any bounce in the wicket, seems to be a very slow wicket, thats the reason for slow bowlers(including vinay kumar) getting most of the wickets . ON varun aaron, he seems to have a smooth runup and a delivery stride, must be nervous for sure, but i guess he will inject some pace in the indian lineup.
pakexpress Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 seriously? he is the hope of billion people? you've got to be kidding me .. nothing special there..
ShebbySB Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 He's just a newbie in the English conditions, let him settle down. He'll kick some ass of the pakis who are making crap comments on him.Come on Varun show them what u r capable of.
rkt.india Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Faster version of Nuwan Kulasekara :hysterical: I dont think this is the first time you watched him.
IKnowU Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I dont think this is the first time you watched him. At best in the international scene he will be mid 130's occasionally cranking it to 140 :giggle: His run up is pretty much useless, it has no momentum with such short strides which hinders momentum, all the strength and speed is in his action and final movements at the crease.

He is a power bowler w ho has enough fast bowling fibers in him. In Vijay Hazaare trophy final, he bowled at an average speed of 144K. His last delivery in IPL was 150K and recently in in Aus, EPT, according to his coach, he bowled 140+ whole day with crossing 150 several times. Even here, his last delivery was easily 145K, look at how batsman came down the track but played hurriedly in the end as ball came too quickly too him. Some bowlers are like that who dont look quick with runup or action but they actually are deceptively quick.
Hur Rizvi Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 though he doesnt look exceptionally fast.... but I would give him full ODI series and then give some sort of comment... He might have been nervous and it is not right to judge a player based on t20 performance....

Well i think Dennis Lillie would be pissed off with you by saying this. He is a product of MRF pace academy, and Dennis himself said, they have worked on him for quite a while, Varun is with MRF since the age of 15. If his runup was that useless, you would not be the first one to pick it up. So this is a crap observation you have.
