Pakistan vs England 2012 Itinerary

What Broad has said is not too bad when you compare it to what Sehwag said after our 4-0 hiding in Australia. At least the English team are recognise their weakness and are looking to improve while Sehwag simply points to our strong form at home.
Spot on, and worth remembering that while the batting was dreadful the English attack was excellent throughout the three Tests, including bundling out Pakistan for just 99 in the third Test. The Indian team was completely annihilated across eight Tests - the batsmen passed 300 just once in sixteen innings while the bowlers conceded over 700 once and over 600 twice (with the opposition declaring each time). England have certainly had their reputation dented, but at least they aren't the laughing stock that Indian cricket is.

but then wy our phasssst bolers failed gainst mediocre OZ Batting... :hmmm:
Clark, Ponting, and Hussey are not mediocre. Their top 3 were average and they did not get much success and it was the England's spinner who bowled as well as their pacers to contribute and it was not the case with India in Australia as spinners were just travelers here.

Younis, Misbah and Azhar Ali are a fine trio of batsmen in these conditions and even the likes of Taufeeq and Hafeez have scored some runs on these sorts of tracks. Also, after the spot fixing scandal those "unpredictable" collapses from Pakistan aren't so common. Still, even accepting your argument. Are you seriously suggesting England's overall performances in the UAE were as bad as India's in England and Australia?

A 3-0 whitewash (which follows a 5-0 whitewash in ODIs in India), failure to win a test despite getting a side out for 99, failure to chase down 145 and all that coming immediately after they became world number 1. If India are the laughing stock of the world, England aren't the shining lights either!

No, Indian team was even poor. Batting was fail for England completely, their bowling did well overall with both spinners and pacers coming good, all four bowlers did well equally. Our batting failed too, but bowling was only half as impressive as England because bar Zak and Yadav, we were short 2 bowlers who could make impact, though a spinner would mostly be a filler on those Aussie tracks in test matches, which we had in Ashwin and then we also played VK the most useless bowler I saw played in a test for us in a long time.

Both are not in great form before the series ..hussey is total failure even against NZ Clarke used to hit 1 century in very series and score in Single digit for rest of the matches

But India are not number one and England is still after a test series whitewash. We never crumbled fro 70 odd runs in any test we lost. We did not lose any match after opposition out for 99. We lost series and we lost number one tag but England have not lost it yet. I did not see so many talks about England even after losing to an average Pak team in the media like it was against India when we lost a very good England team. These talks happen only against India, not about England, no one has raised fingers on their number one status but there were lots of talks about our number one ranking even when we were winning. Yes , we were no perfect team, but neither any right now, and number one ranking was a result of constant decent to good performance at home and overseas both.

It happened because we lost to a higher ranked team in rankings, perhaps England were no. 2 or 3 then, while England lost to a lower ranked team Pakistan.

England cricketers escape unhurt in taxi incident Four England cricketers, including the star duo of Kevin Pietersen and Monty Panesar, escaped unhurt when the taxi they were travelling in was involved in a minor incident. " Stuart Broad, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen and Monty Panesar were travelling at around 100kph when the taxi's bonnet suddenly flew up and into the car's windscreen, obscuring the driver's vision," a cricket website reported. "The driver was able to stop the car safely, however and the players were able to take a full part in training on Saturday evening." The squad trained at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, which will host the opening ODI against Pakistan. :nervous:
