^ I agree with Finn think he will be real handful If he plays. But don't think the likes of Meaker will be that dangerous when it comes to reversing
cant comment never seen him bowl must be good if he is selected...

Meaker is a specialist old ball bowler and reverses the ball. I have seen him cleaning up batsmen in county cricket with full length inswinging balls and he too can clock 90 mph.

@AlisonMitchell: It's understood Steve Finn needs 2 weeks to recover from his thigh injury so looks certain to miss 1st Test. He's just been on with drinks Finn certain to miss first test it seems

So Jimmy' date=' Broad, Bresnan, Swann, Fatel will be the 5 pronged bowling attack for England with Prior batting at 6?[/quote'] Patel will bat at 6 if he plays. That's like a 4-bowler-attack.

Steven Finn came out at the age of 19 with little 1st class experience. Yadav emerged at the age of 24/25.... One averages 32 in test cricket, the other 27... One averages 45 in ODI's, the other 25's. Uncomparable. The only comparable thing about them is that they are both very fast.

Taking Steven Finn's verbals seriously is difficult for anybody who has sat through his anodyne media conferences. He sneers at the batsman like a city gent offered an unacceptable wine list at a black-tie function.
:haha:
