best was low 90's which is a bit down for him' date=' usually gets some through at 95, shame he doesnt know where its going. Speed guns just a bit slower this season on sky.[/quote'] Does Sky also cover county cricket? I saw Meaker clocking his normal pace in county one day, so cannot say speed guns are slow. You can visibly see they are not looking quick. Only bowler who is looking quick is best and too some extent Finn. and Best does not bowl 95 mph. I have never seen him clock 95 mph. He is mainly 88-92 mph bowler. He is a short guy that is why he looks quicker to eyes.

This notion of speed guns being slow or fast looks unconvincing to me. There are extrinsic factors which contribute to the speed like air, pitch etc. which increases/decrease the average pace of a bowler on a particular day.

There are always times when they will bowl at their fastest, and sometimes below.

Sky has improved their hotspot and may be also improved their speed guns ,earlier everybody was clocking 140+.

u mean they are bit realistic as same bowlers in dubai were clocking 130ks also.

Ya that too. Conditions also make a lot of difference.

There is only one company which manufactures hotspot cameras and that company does not sell cameras as they are sensitive a technique use in defense. They too only have 6 or 8 hotspot cameras which they carry to different countries during matches. Sky does not own hotspot. They just adopt it from the developer.

What i meant was this year they are using the new hotspot as sky commentators told and also may be they are using better speed guns .

but these same speed guns showing right speeds in county matches in one day and T20. There speed guns were good last year too. They did show right speeds. PK was shown at 125, VK at 130. England bowlers are not bowling as quick this time. They are conserving themselves for SA test series and I am sure they will put extra effort then, not now. They know they can win against WI even with 60% effort and they do not want to get injured before big series.

If they bowl slow, speed guns will show slow. When they were bowling quick, they were shown quick and If they speed guns are to show slow speeds, why West Indians are not shown slow. Tino Best clocking up to 93 mph, Roach bowled over 90 mph, even Shannon Gabriel bowled in high 80 mph in the test he played. They cant be showing only England bowlers slow. and Finn is a rhythm bowler like Ishant. When in rhythm, they can be as quick as any, but not always.

Speed guns are effective when calibrated well also not the most consistent, also different speed guns would mean slightly more and less accurate, cops use speed guns and always when u get a speeding ticket and have proper counsel it is easy to pick thru the gun and accuracy also get off speeding ticket, these speed guns are slightly different but technology is the same.

broad has given up a bit of pace for swing you can see it from his action' date=' finn was 90+ on indian speed guns but on sky speed guns he rarely crosses 90.[/quote'] he bowled a few 148 balls, got 1 wicket of Raina with a 148 ball. He was mostly around 135 in india. Its like a paki fool trying to debase " indian speed guns" pathetic attempt dude. accept it , pakis are trundlers Indians have multiple 145+ 150 + bowlers now.:two_thumbs_up:

the delivery which he got Raina was clocked 150 in Sky but an other Indian broadcaster clocked it 148.5
