You need to identify players for the next WC and also find players who have the ability to do well in different conditions. Jadeja is not the guy we should be investing in.

I was speaking from the point of view of Pathan being injured currently. I would even play Abhishek Nayar over Jadeja, that's how bad Jadeja is. Everyone hasn't woken up to the mediocrity of Jadeja yet, but it's only a matter of time because this hack will keep on costing us match after match.

Yuvraj won us the world cup with the ball and then also has done well since. It's a pity that besides Irfan we haven't found a decent All rounder since Kapil dev. (Maybe Robin Singh ?) but that's it.

I must be watching a different game then. Could you name 4-5 innings which shows this improvement?

Not that Rohit has done anything great himself, but most of Jadeja's runs which give his average some semblance of respectability have been scored when the match has been lost and instead of going for the target or trying to score at a fast clip he has padded up a few 40s and 50s which have been utterly useless. In 60 ODIs he has not played a single innings where he was the main reason for winning a match.
