Well thats Spurs title hope in smoke. As both manchester teams will fully focus on title now
Spurs are better than United ATM IMO. Their midfield shits on United, they have a solid defence and Adebayor can cause any defence problems. However, i do expect United to improve massively in the near future. To be fair to SAF, he has done well to win as many titles as he has done in the last 5 seasons. They have a net spend of Ž£58m over the last 5 seasons with Man City spending Ž£423m and Chelsea Ž£250 + It looks like the debt the Glazers have built up is holding them back.

Always here pal. We were awful but it did not surprise me one bit. Maybe it will wake Wenger up and make him realise how poor this side is. We should field a 2nd string team for the 2nd leg.
:haha: What second string ? ... there's no such concept at Arsenal..everyone's good enough for the first team. Arteta/Ramsey = Fabregas :cantstop:

Daryl, this link is interesting, says exactly what you posted here not long ago about Arsene being great at nurturing/scouting but tactically naive... http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2012/02/16/2909047/ibrahimovic-ac-milan-silence-their-doubters-but-must-not-get And when your personnel are lacking in quality, Arsene Wenger certainly isn't the manager you want to execute a tactical masterclass in Italy. This writer has made the point numerous times over the years, but will do so once again now: Wenger is a world class scout – the best of the past 20 years - and a world class nurturer and developer of young players. But he is a shockingly naive tactician, and has no understanding of how and when to alter his strategy depending on different scenarios and opposition. He has one style of football, and sticks to it come rain or shine. As the seasons have passed he has become even more stubborn in this philosophy – hence seven years without a trophy.

:--D Glad they agree with me. It is clear for everyone to see. Since Wenger took over his strength has been to buy good young players and turning them into world class or nearly world class players (obviously there are a lot of flops among those who turned out to be the real deal). In matches i think you can count on one hand the number of game-changing substitutions and tactical adjustments he has made in the 15+ years he has been in charge. Wenger has struggled in recent years because clubs around the world have strengthened their scouting networks and young players are becoming more and more expensive. Another point, is that he is a poor defensive coach. This was masked in his early years by the fact that he inherited the greatest defence Arsenal have had and then managed to sign Sol Campbell on a free transfer. As stubborn as Wenger is, i have always believed that we have no money to spend. We are still paying off debts incurred in building a new stadium and we can't afford to spend ŽÂ£50-60m to overhaul the squad. Wenger is simply covering for the board and bearing the brunt of the fans abuse. He can't come out and say "we have limited funds" because that could affect the season ticket sales that the board badly need to keep up with the repayments of the big loans they took out to build the stadium.
