ganeshran Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I dont remember a more disappointing overseas tour for India since 1999. Every thing that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong. Add to that poor team selection and we succeeded in sealing our fate.

This is worst performance in history of cricket.
saneindian Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Never seen a captain make so many tactically foolish decisions in an entire tour. Granted players got injured, but we have got no excuses for picking wrong bowling line up for the last 2 ODIs.
ganeshran Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Regarding wrong bowing line up - all our accusations are based on speculation that Varun Aaron > Vinay Kumar - which may very well be true but we still cant say that for sure. Apart from that , there is not one questionable bowling lineup selection that Dhoni did - it is another thing that our entire bowling sucked.
Stuge Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 one thing, we can say for Dhoni is a stubborn ass.

If all fast bowlers are rubbish, nothing a team can do.
Holysmoke Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Every thing that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong. Tendulkar and Dhoni have a major collision while fielding, Mahi out for months, Tendulkar ends career.
b555 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 i will take it as never seen so many first team players get injured in which case the present results have been obvious
daryl1985 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 its been a horrendous tour but England were the better team throughout. This England side is ruthless and has a real killer instinct. They also have a lot of young talent coming through.
Trichromatic Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Many things were going wrong for years, but those were ignored because of few months of success.
