msb1991
I hope MSD is watching Umesh bowl and picks him ahead of VK for the ODIs. Ridiculous assessment. He has bowled six overs only, in a different format of the game, with a different ball, against batsmen who are not international quality. Let's see what he can do over an entire season in the relevant format of the game. Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
I have seen 6 overs of umesh and am shocked why ws he not in england he wud have bowled 150K there and got some movment too... Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
My dear if a guy is Good and bowls 140k+ he is always better than a trundler and I wud always pick him ahead of a trundler who can't even maintain 128K pace... Link to comment

Where is the evidence that our bowlers bowl quicker in England then elsewhere? Sreesanth bowled at 130kph, are you saying that he bowls slower than that in India. How about Ishant? He was 140kph in West Indies but was mainly 135kph in England. Link to comment

saneindian
133.1, 136.7, NA, 138.8, 137.5, 138.7- Varun's 1st over. looks to be conscious to stick to a better line and length. 3rd delivery was brutal, kicked up from good length Link to comment

Sreesanth bowled at 130kph' date=' are you saying that he bowls slower than that in India. How about Ishant? He was 140kph in West Indies but was mainly 135kph in England.[/quote'] Due to overload. Ishant bowled 300 overs in 2 months over 7 test matches. No one would bowl 140+ in that situation. England bowlers gotta bowl only in one innings for long and they slowed down only that and that was in last test when they had India follow on. And don't talk about Sreesanth as he was not fit and was just coming form an injury without any match practice and lacked stamina due to that. Link to comment
vishalvirsingh
I suppose 140K was the fastest for varun...he got a bouncer which nearly got Kanitkar...That's deadly over.......guys its a treat seeing umesh n varun bowling Link to comment

nsareen
this is not the right thread, but i'm already nervous looking at another super fast bowler, pat. cummins, just bowled an over, 146,145,146,146,149,151. at 149 bowled pollard. We are seeing another prodigy( 18yrs of age). Link to comment
saneindian
138.5, 135.7, 132.7, 136.9, 136, 137.5 - Umesh's 8th over in the spell. Looks tired now. Needs a break. Nealry had a wicket off the 1st ball, forced Chopra on the backfoot and hit the top of his bat, short leg was standing way too deep. Link to comment
