goose Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 way to go Goose! I learned tabla for about 6 years, stopped when I was 19. For the Gh, Gha, Ghe, picture your hand like a snake. The middle and ring fingers are like fangs, and then you strike the skin of the bada tabla and curl your fingers. For the first two weeks, it helps to tape your middle and ring fingers together on your left hand, and the thumb and index on your right (if that's the fundamental your guru has taught you, to keep them together) that's a great tip! why tape the thumb and index finger on the right hand though?
