flamy Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I might be saying what everybody else is saying. I feel that Dhoni has culminated. You can see it in his eye. The exertion. The peak moment of his career. That final six in the World Cup Final. He looks to me, spent. He has achieved everything he wanted and just doesn't have the resources, and I'm not talking about cricketing ones, anymore. The focus, passion or even interest has waned. He needs an honest break. He can achieve much more.
panesarv Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 +1000000000 Has anyone noticed that Dhoni has stopped celebrating no matter what happens. I remember seeing him jump around during T20WC in 07 but for the past year or so, it seems like he just doesn't care [or harsh trying to act cool]
asterix Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Flamy.. take Dhoni to Mother Aya.. He needs it..

flamy Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Bhajji was providing the hand job? You think a silly little hand can satisfy Dhoni?
flamy Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Flamy.. take Dhoni to Mother Aya.. He needs it.. :haha: She will find him.
yoda Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I agree he needs a break, probably more than anyone else. He did rest for the WI ODIs after the WC/IPL though.
Aaku Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 He shouldve skipped ye CLT20.. now theres no time mahi babez
flamy Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 He shouldve skipped ye CLT20.. now theres no time mahi babez Now is the time. He needs to spend time with Sakshi.
Aaku Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Now is the time. He needs to spend time with Sakshi. sure  :om:
saneindian Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 With all those finger injuries which are so clearly visible, do the physios of team India and CSK never rule him out and advise him to take rest?
Cricket Tragic Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Pretty sure that he will take the WI ODIs off.
asterix Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Just one match remaining and then he can take all the rest he wants..
The Realist Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I think there is a wider more important question as to how long Dhoni's captaincy should last. He has been captain for several years now and mentally he looks as if the job has taken its toll. His captaincy thesedays is characterised by being defensive, negative and reactive. He frankly looks out of ideas and out of steam. Problem is if you look at other options for captaincy the field is not exactly high in terms of quality or quantity. I think logically you would be looking at other candidates or at least options for the captaincy but we may well be stuck with Dhoni the Zombie for a while yet.
flamy Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Yes, we need a replacement. What I don't get is the dude doesn't give up keeping even with Saha in the team. :hmmm:
Spiderguy252 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Tell the muppet to stop playing the IPL and CL. When it's India he has to play. Period.
Sid Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Completely agree with flamy, more than anything else Dhoni looks mentally tired. Yes, we need a replacement. What I don't get is the dude doesn't give up keeping even with Saha in the team. :hmmm: May be he is more comfortable captaining the side when he is behind the wickets :hmmm:
vamos_rafa Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Wicket keeping is his primary job. He does not want to let go off it.
