I'm looking for a really good camera that takes good pictures in the dark. I'm only looking for Nikon/Sony/Canon. If other brands are good, then I'll think about it. All suggestions are welcome :two_thumbs_up: P.S I know someone has opened a thread looking to buy a camera, but couldnt find it.

I bought one for myself just before the semi final against Pak but watching my dad go crazy and act like a boy with a new toy I asked him to take it for himself. A week later I purchased the same model for me-self again, If you like photography and wanna get into D-SLRs I suggest you buy this one instead of the starting range of D-SLRs. This is better than many D-SLRs except the really professional ones that would cost over a grand.

The Panasonic Lumiix DMC FZ 100 has many Auto and Manual configs for you to play with. It is also an excellent video shooting device...u don't need a handycam. Of course tech keeps improving by the day but as of now, this is the very best Prosumer model you will find in the market. And it is better than the starting range of DSLRs. I wanted to buy a DSLR but ended up buying this one. The problem with DSLRs is that you need to buy different lenses. Panasonic Lumix has a great zoom, deadly wide angles (I could get my whole house - a 40*60*25 ft - and much more standing hardly 10-15 feet away). This camera is seriously worth it. I had a Canon EOS 300 Rebel (film one) before this which was an SLR but the limitation of the lens (28 - 80mm) made me lose interest in photography for a few years. Now that I have a digital one and a deadly camera my interest is rekindled. Trust me, it is a good buy and it was picked by me dad who is an amazing fu

If zoom is imp go for Nikon P7100 All of them are in your price range .... get a fast memory card class 10 or higher (ideally from sandisk) .... If you feel like spending more, invest in an external flash Looking at your posts, you are better off without a dslr and going for advance p&s
