BJP think tank should see this thread if such a hardcore critic of BJP like outty can vote for NDA, just because of change in leadership how much impact it will make for whole country. Well for me if its not Modi then there is no major difference between Congress and BJP. Will vote for whoever is a good candidate in my constituency.
BeautifulGame Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Lets be realistic here.Modi will no way be NDA PM candidate unless BJP has absolute majority in 2014.And the chances of it happening are zero.None of the current NDA coaliton partners let alone the new one would accept Modi as it would damage their vote bang locally too. The problem for NDA is congress and communist will win their fair share of seats regardless any wave so they realistically would need to depend upon the likes of Mayawati and Jayalalitha or Mamta to form govt if they are the single largest coalition.Highly unreliable leaders who would always threaten to withdraw support for flimsy reasons.In this situation would someone like Nitish be happy to PM and be more like a pawn to head a coalition (Like Gujaral and Gowda before) knowing it can fall any time? I jsut hope someone like Nitish can be announced as PM by NDA before the polls itself and they can get majority but i very much doubt it will happen.

Modi or others are not bad but they do not have the charisma or clean image of Nitish. And people trust Nitish more than any other NDA leader to be honest and that includes all sections of Indian society. Also interesting as I predicted that NDA should project Nitish as PM in the next elections more than two years ago way back in May 2009 and that was before nobody else thought of the same. There was no discussions anywhere including news channels about Nitish being the next PM unlike recent times when Nitish is growing day by day as the top choice of NDA's PM candidate. I told it at that time itself that Nitish is the masterstroke that NDA could play which would almost surely pay off.
