It is still a wrong analogy in terms of the problem being discussed :dontknow:
 abey, I am not discussing the OP problem..., and I never claimed those were same situation as kashmir's... I am trying to open rahul's eyes - when he suggested developed nations are more judicious in use of power.

tbh I m sick of this Kashmir debate and realized that what Bhushan said is actually right... We all know Partition in 1947 happened for good and it was actually blessing in disguise for Indians that Pakistan was born... I can now see the same thing.. probably leaving out Kashmir will actually be good for us and keep away all the future terror elements out of India..
Kashmir is just a tool used by ISI and Pak goverment against India. Just like they were supporting the Khalistan movement in Punjab. Pakistan's involvement in activities against our interests in Afghanistan is proof of this. There are two huge problems with giving up Kashmir One, it will fuel movements in other states wanting Independence. Pakistan will not stop at Kashmir, they will soon want Punjab, etc to be seperated from us. 'The war of a thousand cuts', as the ISI blackbook says. Similarly the Naxals, etc will also get a boost for their demands of seperation Two, Kashmir is the perfect base to be used Pakistan and China for anti-India activities. It will provide easier access for militants into India

RahulRulezz,As much as I like your "Live and Let Live" policy,it is extremely naive to believe that this gesture will be reciprocated and will stop at Kashmir. This activism does not have social or political undertones anymore.Accede this and everything will fall apart. India has learnt enough from her history. We are done with the practice of acceding lands to barbarians. No more.

If Kashmir is handed over to Pakistan then even Khalistan should be liberated , Assam should be given the right to become a separate Nation and other **** NE states who historically had nothing in common with Mainland People shouldnt be forced to be part of Indian Union either.

Freedome of speech my ass. This is just a sedition speech. Only a kashmiri pundit like me will know the pain my forefathers have gone through in the hands of separatists. Some fools here are defending the freedom of supporting sedition. Its against the constitution of india, and it would hurt lot of indians like me(atleast who lives in india and take pride in it). Someone give me the address for this Bhagat singh kranthi sena. I wanna join it. lol.

Kashmir never wanted to be a part of india sikhs for the most part wanted to stay in india. It wasnt untill the early 80s and emegency rule over punjab and operation bluestar did khalistan take of and even then most of the sikhs propbably didnt want khalistan. Very different situation in kashmir. And WTF do you mean "chinki?" Im pretty certain most ne indians would be insulted with that remark.

Freedom of speech includes speech that you might find painful. In a free society people should have the ability to say what they want without the fear of getting beatin up by a thug.

Yeah, even ltte and tamils didnt wanted to a part of srilanka..Were they allowed to form a seperate nation? Baluchistanis didnt wanted to be a part of pakistan, Were they allowed to break away?? We are a young nation, Separatist thoughts would heal and slow down once we grow a stronger nation in the future.

Its harder to debate rationaly and intellectually which is how it should be done in a civilized society.

Its not abt agreeing or not, its just a sedition speech, and it should not be allowed. People do get angry when someone supports breaking the country. I would happily go to jail for beating a guy who supported sedition.

when these cvnts talk about letting kashmir go, they should first talk to the kin of armymen who had (and continue to ) given their lives in wars against the pakis and counter insurgency operations since 1990. These cvnts should first speak with the relatives of terrorist attack victims who had loved ones stripped from their lives in an instant. These cvnts should speak with the 300000+ pandits who are refugees in their own land. And if they still feel kashmir should be let go then they should shoot themselves on the spot.

Losing an inch of land means India will fall like pack of cards in 15-20 years.India is country with different Religions ,regions and cultures and moreover there is so much imbalance. One question is why will developed states in future will want to share their revenue with other poor states? The developed states will have less birth rate while the poorer will have high so large number of immigrants will come to those states and demography will start changing and regionalism will rise and every politician will give example of Kashmir for independence

Btw why are we so insecure about India falling apart. So does it mean that we are weak and nothing binds us except the constitution ?
more or less. This nation is full of traitors and until the economic engine sufficiently improves, there will always be insecurities.

Is India that weak as a nations? As I have pointed out earlier, I am completely against even the idea of conceding ground on the Kashmir issues, but neither am I so insecure that I cannot tolerate any view which is contrary. As far as freedom of speech goes, US is much far ahead of us as a democracy. We have of course been hampered by years of differences and hate and it was considered that Indian citizens needed to be gaurded from provocation like a pile of gas cans from a cigerrate lighter. But we have come quiet a long way and our people have matured a lot. Some idiots remain, but I would rather live in a free, fighting society than in a country where any opposing views are squelched under boots. Heck, Goering, Trey and Matt, all would have been killed by people like you if they were Indians
