Rightarmfast said that he is bowling with an old ball in this video and when someone gave him a new ball, it landed just near the boundary. In that last ball, Rehan had asked batsman to go away so that ball does not hit him. He was bowling this just for recording after he had played a match here. This is not match situation, just for recording. 135-140kph is good pace for three isolated deliveries. I'm sure he could push 145kph in a full spell. Surely he will debut in Ranji Cricket soon?

Bihar players can give trials in Jharkhand, but they too also did not pick him, so much politics going on in Bihar and Jharkhand. He will have to take path of IPL to come to limelight and play for teams like Rajasthan Royals who like to give chance to new talents like him.

First of all, Bihar does not have any Ranji team. Bihar players can play in Jahrkhand, but Jharkhand association officials do not want the players from Bihar to play in Jharkhand. Otherwise, we would have been seen bowler like Krishanatary playing for them. Rightarmfast will tell you the exact detail and situation.

Genuinely curious here. Forget about a Ranji team, there is politics in U-16 state selections. Yes, it starts at a much lower level. I still believe that if you're an outstanding player, you will still make it through under most circumstances.

The moment the ball would pitch, you could see dust coming out of the pitch. I would rate this Moinul Haq pitch ( the only stadium in Bihar I think ) one of the worst in India. To think someone is even trying to bowl fast on this pitch is heartening ! B) The ball which they were using was about 35 overs old. Which means it already had lost its shine and bounce. After I stopped recording, one kid came up with a new ball for Rehan. My bad luck, Rehan bowled with this ball just to show bowling technique to the kid and the ball just flew off in tremendous speed. it landed just around the end of the stadium. The kid was overawed and he asked me 'So what do you think , how quick was this ball ?' Honestly I feel that that particular delievery was 145 + . C ) About Ranji team - When Jharkhand was divided into a separate state, the cricket board went to Jharkhand which meant Bihar had no board and had to beg Jharkhand for its players. BCCI has still not given any official status to Bihar for reasons unknown to me. It means that both these players will not be playing Ranji, perhaps ever ! whatever speed these 2 bowlers are generating is on their own. They both are from village, cant speak english, cant afford most of the sports equipments. The positive was that both these guys are very enthusiastic and are eager to bowl faster and faster. It was the first time anyone had recorded them and they were trying to find all the loopholes in their action from my video. That is so sad ! I think even Kamlesh is 130+. He is not that slow.

I think he did have hyperextention but he overused it. I also think that Akhtar overused it on some occasions but not nearly to the extent of Khan. The way I understand, 15 degrees of straightening is allowed either way (normal or hyperextention).

If you know the guy or even have great awe for his pace, maybe it'd be worth trying to get the three balls of him onto youtube with the title "Fastest bowler in India?" or something like that. That sort of thing, if it does get tens of thousands of views, might get him an IPL contract. Whether he is 140 or 150kph, delivering a ball which goes for a one bounce four without a batsman is extraordinary and will garner interest. How does this guy perform at the cricket that he does play? Does he dominate or is he a tad wayward.

I can only put this in UK terms but for below county level, anything over 120kph is considered pretty nippy - especially since the pitches at the higher level are much slower than pitches at club level.

But 3 balls is just too little a sample size. RAF, can you upload some longer videos with at least 10-15 balls?

I'm at work right now but will definitely watch the vids as soon as I get home :)) .... just reading thru this thread, i'm plenty excited to watch this guy. If he has serious potential then the only way to get him into professional cricket is by making him a youtube sensation. There is just way too much politics and bureaucracy in Indian cricket for a young village guy to make it through.... The odds are heavily stacked against him. But hopefully sooner or later, the real fans of indian cricket can make a difference; just like what you are doing right now.

In the videos he definitely looks much quicker than our current crop of international bowlers. Looks like he deliberately bowled shorter deliveries to show his pace and bounce! If anyone deserves to be coached and fine-tuned, then it is guys like rehan khan.... I'm sure we have tonnes of such talent but they never see the daylight due to politics and all. I really wish him all the best and pray that he gets better coaching and exposure to see what he is really capable of.

Even in these delieveries, he is quite on the offstump. The whole video I have has 2 nicks from the batsmen which were really beautiful to see, and at the same pace. Even the B3 video, the ball landed quite close to the boundary. And the wicketkeeper you see in the video is a good 6 ft tall guy. Blue Panther - Was waiting for u...Doesnt this guy look like someone who has it in him to challenge the current Indian trundlers like Mithun and all ? Trundler - Thanks man ! I am going to upload one more video now which I have. @MSB - Any idea if theres a way to get these 2 bowlers to play for atleast league b or C in country cricket ? Is there any way for these guys to get selected there ?
