asterix Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 And if he bowled longer spells, you would be whining about the captain overbowling him :--D He had spells of 4, 4, 6 and 2 overs with the new ball which was perfect IMO given the speed with which he was bowling. Looked the most effective in his 3rd spell and hence got extra overs, exactly the way it should be. Abey smartarse..What is these whinging etc.. Aren'T we allowed to post our views?

asterix Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Reiterates what I said in my last post. WHat is you problem mate? We can have diffence of opinion.. I never attack any other member saying 'whinging' etc. Can't we discuss properly instead of taking pot-shots at each other? What's your problem mate?

Never knew using the word whining would amount to 'personal attack'! Chill and carry on.

IMO in his second spell he should've got few more overs as he was getting in the rythm and attaining good pace...
retterimp Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 what i found most impressive was his effortless 90mph bowling, which is great because he is naturally that quick. this means he can actually focus his energies on planning dismissals. he didn't get any wickets, but i will wait for the series to finish before discussing his bowling skills: he needs more time in the middle to prove himself.
deathmonger Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 IMO in his second spell he should've got few more overs as he was getting in the rythm and attaining good pace... 3rd spell was good but overall I'm happy with how Dhoni is handling these two. Don't want to burden them too much. Slowly Slowly is the way to go.
BeautifulGame Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Great to hear Bishop's view on Yadav. The more he bowls he will learn consistency and control. But u cant teach pace.
express bowling Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 What were Umesh and Ishant's fastest and average speeds on day one ?
BeautifulGame Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Maiden test wkt for Yadva.Great way to get a wkt too. Stumps clattered :bhangra:
express bowling Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Getting genuine pace and movement combo. Just needs to improve his line and length. Why is he bowling inswingers which are starting on the middle stump and going down the leg ?
Cricket Tragic Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Maiden test wkt for Yadva.Great way to get a wkt too. Stumps clattered :bhangra: Terrible batting though. It wasn't a great delivery.
King Tendulkar Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Terrible batting though. It wasn't a great delivery. Pace forces mistakes. great ball He will cause mayhem in oz
express bowling Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Terrible batting though. It wasn't a great delivery. An inswinging delivery at close to 90 mph aimed at the stumps --- wasn't a great delivery indeed. :haha:
King Tendulkar Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 An inswinging delivery at close to 90 mph aimed at the stumps --- wasn't a great delivery indeed. :haha::giggle:
King Tendulkar Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 10 and 11 batting and dhoni is not bowling the 90 mph bowler.
Cricket Tragic Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 An inswinging delivery at close to 90 mph aimed at the stumps --- wasn't a great delivery indeed. :haha: Leaving a straight ball - dire batting.
express bowling Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Leaving a straight ball - dire batting. Younger Windies batsmen are not the brightest stars in the cricketing firmament. :--D He thought the ball is going to go straight but it came in.
