When he went to register - he was suggested to go back, because he did not even have proper shoes (he was wearing gumboots, and ran wearing those only!!!). And guess what, he ended up winning against proper professionals and even gave-birth to a new 'technique' of ultra-marathon running - Young-shuffle.
