Trichromatic Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Afridi's selection is not really a bad move, he is a decent leggie , a slogging finisher at the end of innings. A bits and pieces cricketer The problem is the unreal expectations that Pak fans have from him projecting him into a larger than life character which he isnt - who is supposed to score 30 ball 100s everytime he walks in. He is a cowlasher who will succeed on some days and fail on most others. This. He has biggest fan following in Pakistan who always dream of those 50+ scores in 20 deliveries. But as a bowler he has always done decent job for Pakistan.
bulbul Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 This. He has biggest fan following in Pakistan who always dream of those 50+ scores in 20 deliveries. But as a bowler he has always done decent job for Pakistan. Problem lies with Afridi also...he has to stop playing for gallery .. Also looks like he is bit straight on Fixing issues by reading Current spot fixing issues..
Trichromatic Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Problem lies with Afridi also...he has to stop playing for gallery .. Also looks like he is bit straight on Fixing issues by reading Current spot fixing issues.. That's not a problem anymore, that's part of him. He has played 300 games with that mindset and will continue to do so. Question for Pakistani selectors is whether he is good enough with this playing style to fit in first XI or not.

Asim Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 Dropping Wahab is not a good decision, he Must be prefered over cheema specially in ODIs... Including Imran Farhat dont make any sense... well, sorry, I am asking for sense to PCB :((
Sid Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Abdul Razzaq also included btw... Great to see all the performers of Hong Kong Sixes have been rewarded with an ODI spot :nice: :cantstop:
Number Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Fixing happens in other countries too , says Afridi http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/interviews/Fixing-happens-in-other-countries-too-says-Afridi/articleshow/10598309.cms It's not only in Pakistan, it happens in other countries too where the cricket boards bury the matter," Afridi said after three Pakistani players were sentenced to jail for their role in the spot-fixing scandal.
Sarkar Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Yes but only Pak players are caught :hahaha: Because they have bigger hearts :hysterical:
Number Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 He is saying other boards bury the matter... OK , so basically PCB is the only board who has shown no tolerance towards fixers. :hatsoff: to PCB.
