Number Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I'd have Tiwary for Rohit m Aaron for VK Tiwary was a total failure in WI and against England. To me he is another Badri , domestic bully. The way he bats in intl. games is  worthy. No idea where his off-stump is. I'd love to have Aaron but as we've seen VK is a senior member so automatic selection in the XI. :P
Sid Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 WTF Pappu again  Otherwise it will be interesting to see Veeru the kaptaan goes in with both Aaron and Umesh or with slinga trundler from RCB. Now I am convinced Yuvi wasnt dropped from the test side and I think his selection for Aus series cant also be counted out now.And coming to injury, illness or whatever it is,I must say Yuvi gets injured far too many times. Its so sad to see the Yuvi the athlete changed to Yuvi the revital.

ganeshran Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Why do they keep picking Parthiv in the 2nd choice side. Time to give Saha a run too
Cric_is_Life Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Viru back to ODIs after the World Cup :yay:
carnish Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Tiwary and Badri are test players... playing them in ODIs and saying they have been given oppourtunities are just a means to ruin their careers.... even in IPL it has been seen the way badri and tiwary played although there were a few good knocks here and there they struggled and therefore its pretty much clear that LOI are not their forte.... should try them at the test level...
carnish Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Why do they keep picking Parthiv in the 2nd choice side. Time to give Saha a run too saha cant score anything in ODIs.... maybe in tests he can when he doesnt need quick runs
akshaywekhande Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Nobody even noticed that at least the left arm verity of vinay kumar i.e. shreenath arvind is dropped!!! that is one relly positive move by the selectors . . .
Number Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Tiwary should be given enuf chances like Rohit' date=Rohit has been a failure too.both shouldnt have been in the squad but now I'll prefer Tiwary I agree on this. But Tiwary has not shown any promise yet. Rohit played some very good knocks in the start of his career. And also he was excellent in WI last time he played, a big reason why we won that ODI series , where tiwary failed. SO it's fair to give Rohit some games first , if he fails then they can try tiwary.
SachDan Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/423948.html :cantstop:
kubrickian Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Disappointed that Sachin is not playing. He should have got that 100th 100 out of the way and go fresh into a tough and grueling Aussie tour. You could see even during this series that he is not entirely relaxed and playing his natural game. He looked jittery even against Bishoo and Sammy.
Sachin=GOD Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Why do they keep picking Parthiv in the 2nd choice side. Time to give Saha a run too because he is actually a good batsman.
J P K Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/423948.html :cantstop: do not try to fool us :--D for a moment i thought it is a recent news until i read the last line
Sid Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Yes I am surprised when Veeru himself has said earlier he doesnt want to be a captain, then again why he is made the captain.
The Outsider Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 because he is actually a good batsman. Yeah, just that the good batsman averages in the 20s.
Sachin=GOD Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Yeah' date=' just that the good batsman averages in the 20s.[/quote'] so did many of our "maharathis" in the early part of their career.
skindia Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Srikkanth biased against uthappa...just 1 t20 chance in last three years and parthiv rahane rohit sharma always make it to team despite failure...uthappa ignored from t20 probables..he is not even in contract list for last 3 years since srikkanth came..
skindia Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 uthappa can keep better than full time parthiv...parthiv drops catches..
Sid Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 so did many of our "maharathis" in the early part of their career. Seriously are you comparing Pappu to them? He is not an ODI opener(proved this time and again) and a misfit as a middle order batsman(dont want to talk about his keeping).Dont know why the selectors are backing him.It was a perfect oppurtunity to give Saha a full series and see what he can do.

No. But I'm saying that even some of our better batsmen had low averages at the start of their career but we gave them many chances so he surely deserves some more chances, especially considering that he (or other reserve keepers) only get to play when Dhoni rests.
