deathmonger Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 i meant to talk about there average speeds they always bowl fast in FC matches. Not 145+. But late 130s - early 140s which is good test speed. Yadav recently put a 10 over spell in Irani trophy in hot Jaipur in which first 5-6 overs where 140+ and last few overs slowest ball was something like 137-138. Anyway you'll get to see them tomorrow - One is making a debut. And as Delhi is a lot cool nowadays, speed will be pretty fast.
Trichromatic Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Both Wahab and Gul were bowling consistently around 90mph during WC. Gul even clocked 150 Kph. But truth is that Pakistani overrate speed of their bowlers. If Junaid bowls 1 ball touching 140 during whole day, they will call him 140 Kph bowler. Amir was fastest bowler after Shoaib in tests and they haven't produced many fast bowlers in last couple of years. Most of them are either fast medium or medium fast.

deathmonger Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 sami - sucks wahab - kicked from team. under investigation. afridi - sucks. has become ok-ish in recent days but jaddu better than him. talha - who the hell is he? sohail khan - who the hell? even we have loads of 140+ domestic players - shukla, nechim, shami etc etc gul - good bowler but after mohali seems to have become a trundler. happens, i know. sehwag has made a career of destroying bowler's careers (saqlain comes to mind). i know it is hard for you to accept that our attack is faster than yours, after all that is what you pride yourself on. it happens. it is called denial. :giggle: even i would be feeling the same if you had a better batting line-up than us. even i would be in the same state
panther Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 the fastest bowlers in pak are not in the team wahab, sami, talha and sohail khan they are all average test bowlers
panther Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 gul bowls 125-140 in test cricket and in odi/t20 he is 140 +
Jas20 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 But hw can they lose kabbadi every time they play with india. I think pak new bowler are veggies along with other athletes. Or they are run out of meat.

Hur Rizvi Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Gul is making a comeback after World cup... He can bowl at 140kph on average if he wants but lately he has been concentrating more on getting swing and getting his wrist position right... Junaid is not a quick bowler he is more of a 135kph bowler who relies on swing more than pace.... Wahab can bowl 90mph but other bowlers are better than him so he cant find place in the team But Gul and Junaid have been wonderful despite not being quick they have been better than any Indian bowler was in much helpful conditions in England
nanda14792 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 other factors disturbing pakistan dont know why umar gul or wahab riaz cant bowl at 140...wahab especially impressed me with the way he bowled....probably they are disturbed and need tons of motivation....otherwise cricket will die...
Hur Rizvi Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 None of the current pakistani fast bowlers(Playing in test team) are fastest in the country but they are the best.... Fastest in Pakistan are Umaid Asif (he is from Sialkot and is very sharp) Muhammad Talha (he can bowl b/w 140-150kph) but yet he is not a complete test bowler Sami (Clocked 150kph in 2009 sydney test twice or thrice but we all know he isnt a good test bowler) Wahab he can bowl at 145kph Nasir MAlik (19 year old left armer who is quite sharp) Saad Altaf (from Islamabad he is sharp) Tabish Khan(he is the fastest bowler from Karachi after Sami ...) But all the guys above are still not complete test match bowlers they need time in First class cricket

Wahab does bowl at 140kph consistently even bowled few deliveries above 150kph on his test debut ... But Gul,Junaid, Cheema are better bowlers so Wahab has to work hard to find a place in the team Gul is never a consistent 140kph bowler in test cricket he is focussing on Line and length and doing quite well so what's the fuss about
Hur Rizvi Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 apart from aaron' date=' yadav and ishant even we have loads of 140+ bowlers in FC just that they are raw - Nechim, Shami, Shukla etc[/quote'] Thing is that our bowlers mantain their pace while your bowlers loose good 10kph after 1st 1 to 2 years in test cricket.... Dont compare Gul and Junaid to Praveen pace wise they can up their pace if they want.... Gul bowled 140kph+ consistently in W.C he is just making a comeback will be back to his normal pace in some time

Something's already happened to Wahab. How is he dropped from the ODI team? He may join his friend Asif in Wandsworth prison team soon.

Gul - Mentally destroyed after Sehwag blitz. Wahab - More important things on his mind than bowling fast. Things like how to stay away from prison, how to hide jackets etc.
Blue Panther Posted November 5, 2011 Author Posted November 5, 2011 Lets c how varun, umesh, ishant bowl tomorrow. Lets c which team's bowlers bowl faster, india or pak lets c. Lets c how many pakistanis agree to this...:winky:

Imran, Waqar, Wasim - Imran had become tundler 2. Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib - Waqar had bcome trundler

Imran, Waqar, Wasim - Imran had become tundler 2. Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib - Waqar had bcome trundler Yes, i agree, my only worry is abt maintaining this pace attack and to give importance to pace bowlers. Our captain dhoni seems like a super supporter of medicore trundler attack. This is where i miss a captain like ganguly, i remember he spoke to srinath and he convinced him to come out of retirement to play for india in 2003 world cup. He always gave chances to the bowlers who could bowl quick. Ashish, zaheer, srinath were really quick and he gave them continious chances to prove their worth. I just hope this ****er dhoni realaises the importance the pace and dumps bowlers like vinay.
