The mumbai wkt we played against Sri lanka was a great wkt IMO.had swing on moring session all 5 days and turned from 3rd day IIRC.Best wkt for test cricket. An ideal wkt though is one where it swings as well as as turns for all 5 days.So no advantage to anyone winning the toss.

The best pitch is one where in the first innings both teams, if the batsmen apply themselves and have patience are able to score 400 (even bounce, something for the seamers if they bend their back, a little bit of turn if the spinners rip it enough). In the second innings the pitch should have deteriorated to the point where it is impossible to get past 250-300 (raging turn, uneven bounce, big footmarks/footholes having a big impact). Only the brave and tough should survive and be victorious, the mentally weak and impatient should get roasted.

GREENTOP. i looooooooooove aussie tests.. !!... the times when McGrath and Brett Lee would bowl to Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in a bowling friendly pitch. NOTHING BETTER IN THE WORLD.
