rajmarie Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Dont know abt the copy...but saw Bravo batting yesterday...& there was some good batting. Yes...I have seen Lara...& Bravo style is based on him.....& there is nothing wrong. Lara scored a lot & Bravo..if he continue working on his game...will be a successfull player.

Precambrian Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Sachin atleast very early in his career emulated his idol Gavaskar a lot (right down to the type of pads :) which has now become his trade mark), but would not say an outright copy. Credit to Bravo, as I have always thought it is probably easier to copy Tendulkar than Lara (style of play that is, not achievements), as Tendulkar's is an ultra refined style distilled and diluted by years of persistent hardwork and practise, to eliminate false strokes as much as possible, whereas Lara's was always pure genius and instinct at work, a manifestation of in-born talent almost completely untouched by refinement of practise and introspection.
phaedrus Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Sachin atleast very early in his career emulated his idol Gavaskar a lot so did Sanju Manju

Ultimate_Game Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Similarities I have seen... Sehwag - Tendulkar Mukund - S Ramesh Bravo - Lara Read somewhere that Chris Cairns was a mirror image of his dad Lance Cairns but never saw Lance cairns bat so can't comment on it.
IKnowU Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Similarities I have seen... Sehwag - Tendulkar . I dont see any similarities at all tbh.....whether defence or attacking.
Ultimate_Game Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I dont see any similarities at all tbh.....whether defence or attacking. When Sehwag was new to intl cricket he used to be very similar to Tendulkar.
