phaedrus Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 tuk tuk batsman here as well. used to open for teams back in india and was my responsiblity to see off the new ball. here in the uk, play in the middle order for my club and invariably come in when we have lost 3 or 4 wickets have fallen in the first few overs and have to steady the innings.

Once I hit 3 sixes in a row though in a tennis ball game. my turn to boast - once I hit 42 / 45 runs in an over (5 6s, and 4-5 4s).. because the umpire was from my side and gave 3-4 no-balls for chucking :D... it was sort of 'fixed' because even after being warned the previous over, he started with chucking - which I duely cleaned for longest hit till that day. But years later karma came back to hit me, and I was hit for 4 sixes in a row, in a 3rd yr vs 2nd year match in college :((.

podi wije Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 in soft ball cricket.im a slogger who use swing at everything like mad.mid on mid off are my favorite areas.infact the only areas im capable of scoring unless the bowler is too rubish to offer me a doly out side off or on my legs.slog sweep is my fav shot.

Dravid_TheWall Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I am a right arm fast medium bowler, haven't played regularly for ages, but people do comment on my speed. Must be due to my rajput origin-kshatriya power. However, I can't bat well. But what I have done is make it hard for opposition to dismiss me and I have helped others score runs around me. Good defensive technique, only play pushes down the ground, flick off hip or cut. No risky shots. P.S- I love short balls and ride the bounce well, as I am always on the back foot and very still head. But bad on the front foot so I struggle.
