The ball doesnt reverse appreciably in Australia unless u are playing in Adelaide.Even if it does Kukobura (sp) ball takes a long time unlike SG ball and mostly reverses afer 60-70 overs and the new ball loses it shine quickly too. So Zaheer mostly will have to depend on his guile and keeping up one end.
no the balls tend to swing conventionally for more time.n Zak is great at reverse, even with kookaburra.
If the ball doesnt swing how can PK swing it both ways? If it is a pitch that supports swing then fair enough we can select both Pk and Zaheer but if it is a usual Melbourne flat wicket no point picking him when we already have Zaheer.
bcoz PK doesnt depend totlly on the pitch to get swing,he gets the ball to swing in the air due to his wrist action.
because playing 2 swing bowlers in melbourne will make our attack ineffective. Also ishant isnt in poor form , He is bowling really well and keeping one end tight allowing spiiners to attack as he has to do in these flat wickets. But he will be very effective in Aussie pitches where there will be bounce and seam which will suit him much better than these roads. Just see the records in Melbourne.Even a great swing bowler like Asif has struggled there. And pollack who has good record there has played as a support bowler there. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;ground=61;home_or_away=2;host=2;opposition=2;orderby=bowling_average;spanmax1=25+Nov+2011;spanmin1=25+Nov+2001;spanval1=span;template=results;type=bowling
what about England.was Ishant bowling really well there,if yes, then I dont want a bowler bowling well but averaging 60,I'd rather have someone bowling bad n getting wickets. about Asif I saw that game,Pak fielders coudnt catch anything..he created enuf chances. u havent included Aus bowlers there,u'll see how Stuart Clark have done well.too small sample sizes though

Just kidding brah. It reminds me of a comment from an Indian fan I read a while back about how Indian batsmen cannot play bouncing yorkers effectively.

I dont know much cricket, but can someone highlight the strengths and weaknesses of Ashwin and Ojha? I would have imagined Ashwin would be a choice ahead of Ojha considering he can bat a bit too. And what about Harbhajan? Is he relegated to the history books now?

squad zaheer (if fit dont count him in yet lol),praveen kumar ,ishant, yadav, ashwin, ojha and aaron after seeing so many injuries in england wont be a bad thing to take aaron along in match it gets tricky .. zaaher, ashwin, ishant in for sure other 2 i think will be selected based on 2 practice matches

my bad i forgot dhoni will never play 5 bowlers well i dont see how u can play injury prone zaheer with only 4 man attack if its 4 man attack kumar will def go out yadav in
