On India's previous tour to Australia, in 2007-08, Harbhajan had a tally of eight wickets in three Tests at 61.25. He conceded over 100 runs in an innings three times in that series.

From the looks of it this guy does not even a deserve a spot in the Punjab Ranji XI. I am sure they have spinners in that state that can get 1 wicket in 3 Ranji games with over 250 runs conceded. But for someone like Darty that thinks a place in the Indian Test XI to be an entitlement the Punjab Ranji team is an easy get away.

The sad prospect for Darty supporters is that Darty will play only one more match at Mohali where the turn and bounce helps him in general. Looking at how some people get heartburns over Darty's crappy performances, I am looking forward to some fun in tracking his ***** bowling for the rest of the season. My prediction - Darty is going to end up with a 50+ average.

pick bhajji based on what? recent performances, not up to par. performances in australia, not up to par. replacements performing really well. instead of picking bowlers who have collected bagful of wickets in a series, you would pick bhajji? imagine if he was in the squad and didnt play any games. that would be even worse for him. pushing an underperforming bhajji into such an important series is the biggest disservice you can do to the man. good for him to stay away and work on his craft. a break should do him good. If he has it in him, he will be back and itll be awesome for the team. if not, move on

Hi guys, I am back. My mum's not been well and I've been busy. Anyhow: me and a good Indian friend of mine say he's not good enough and should've been dropped (as we did to Indian media guy in Birmingham in August). But the cue from others about "400 wickets" is amazing. His record over recent years is TERRIBLE. He is not good enough to be in the Indian test side. Ashwin is far better at present, despite 400 test wickets. Don't bring regionalism into it in order to hide Bhajji's lack of performance recently. PS an average of 102 in Ranji Trophy bowling doesn't help!

Dont selctive quote and try to be clever. I have clearly said over and over again that ashwin and oijha should be picked ahead of him now and agree with oz squad. Bhaji may well never play for test team again but that does not mean his past achievements should not be recognised My objection is the abuse and vitriol for a very good performer for India for many years. Even outsider who is abusing him stated he was a very good spinner. So fine over the last year or so his form has dipped and others have over taken him, hence his axing. But why the constant abuse, why cant people at least recognise his past achievements and 400plus wickets. Instead of focusing on last year or so and totally raping him. Sad to see to be honest
