J P K Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Coming down heavily on the selectors, former India ODI captain Ajay Jadeja slammed the K Srikkanth-led panel for ignoring Harbhajan Singh. Jadeja was in Ahmedabad on Thursday to promote a handicraft festival. Ū agree that the new spinners (Pragyan Ojha and R Ashwin) have done well. But that doesnÃÕ mean you can ignore Harbhajan. If you look at IndiaÃÔ performance at home, it has always been good. So it is not surprising (that Ojha and Ashwin did well). The real test comes when we travel overseas. There, pitches are such that they will suit HarbhajanÃÔ action; where he can extract some bounce and spin, said Jadeja. He also compared HarbhajanÃÔ situation with former captain Sourav Ganguly and other seniors who were given an unceremonious exit from Team India. Ÿhat they (the selectors) did with Sourav, the same thing is happening with Harbhajan now. This has happened to quite a few seniors. You canÃÕ just drop a player based on a couple of bad series. It is part and parcel of a cricketerÃÔ career, you need to back him, said Jadeja. Jadeja, however, was very diplomatic when it came to discussing Vinod KambliÃÔ recent outburst about the 1996 World Cup semifinal. He termed it as the MumbaikarÃÔ personal opinion. Ū donÃÕ want to comment on that. It was his opinion. Since he said that, then he is the best person to answer your query, he remarked. Jadeja was a member of that World Cup team http://www.dnaindia.com/sport/report_ajay-jadeja-for-harbhajan-singhs-inclusion_1617053
jonas10 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Gee i wonder why the match fixer doesnt wanna comment on Kambli's outburst. Shame on all these sleazy channels that employ the three stooges. As for Bhajji well here is hoping the Ojha Ashwin combo prove him wrong in the final frontier.
vvvslaxman Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Cant believe the amount of connections Bhajji maintains to his advantage. Good job selectors.
Ranjha Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Sad to see Bhajji out but I will wait for Ashwin to perform in Aus and see his enormous talent. Will bump in a few months.
King Tendulkar Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Cant believe the amount of connections Bhajji maintains to his advantage. Good job selectors. Why is hard to believe that bhaji has people who thinks he deserves a place in the squad. He has 400+ test wickets after all. Why indulge in silly conspiracy theories on the net of connections blah blah. Similar to outrageous net theories that he faked injury blah blah. We are behaving like pakis. For the record I agree with oz squad totally.
Ranjha Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Well yeah the oz squad picked based on recent performances makes sense..no complains.
King Tendulkar Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Well it seems the punjabis are fully accepting Bhaji exclusion as being correct and not indulging in regionalism. We agree with his dropping even though Punjabi. Now the wimpy southies need to have a long hard look in the mirror for their fanatical support of the oily rat siva!!!
CSK Fan Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 India's spin performance at home has always been good? Not after Kumble retired. And one or two bad series? You meqan 3-4 bad years. When was the last time Bhajji took 22 wickets in a series?

Bhajji is criticized not because he is punjabi. But because he sucks at what he is doing. Why do you give regional color to a simple criticism of "player sucks" .

Why do you give regional color to a simple criticism of "player sucks" . 400 plus test wickets and he sucks at what he is doing. The nonsense posted is amazing!

Why do you give regional color to a simple criticism of "player sucks" . plus people post he suported cos he is punjabi, they bring the regional aspect in it. He is supported cos of fine performances for many years! I repeat 400 plus wickets
King Tendulkar Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 well said' date=' Bhajji hate is very obvious...difference is Bhajji fans are wishing good for Ashwin while some Ashwin fans are still taking cheap shots at him even after he's not in the team for a while now..WTF pu$ attitude[/quote'] Absolutley. Punjabis are supporting and happy Ashwin is doing well. Are northies just more patriotic and indian?:giggle:
urbestfriend Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Oh...Now victim mentality is out in full force
vvvslaxman Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 plus people post he suported cos he is punjabi' date=' they bring the regional aspect in it. He is supported cos of fine performances for[b'] many years before! I repeat 400 plus wickets correction

rkt.india Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 plus people post he suported cos he is punjabi, they bring the regional aspect in it. He is supported cos of fine performances for many years! I repeat 400 plus wickets 400 wickets wont help him play whole life. He will have to take them consistently specially if we are playing in India and on turning tracks, but he was not able to do this in last 2-3 years consistently. It was his 400 wickets or so who were allowing him to play despite some of his poor performances in recent times with the ball in a hope that he may revive himself, but it did not happen and no he has a challenge in front of him as age is still on his side if he can revive himself through domestic cricket.
vvvslaxman Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Yep I'm aware..but more from the Madrasi brigade..that's why all this :--D It is a very half baked comment. Asterix is not madrasi.. he has been his longest critic.
vvvslaxman Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 LOLZ..I know Asterix has done that in the past' date=' but he also did have a Bhajji avatar after MI won IPL :two_thumbs_up: so it does prove that he doesn't hate Bhajji unlike some of you bunch :winky:[/quote'] He was hailed by everyone when he made contribution with bat. It is your fault to miss such things.
asterix Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 It is a very half baked comment. Asterix is not madrasi.. he has been his longest critic. :nervous: I agree I've been one of the earlier critics of Bhajji.. But, having lost my father at an early age, I've now feel that I've been very harsh on Bhajji, who also had to grow up, having lost his father when he was young. Maybe, it's nothing to do with his performance and maybe I'm digressing..but I know it's hard work to make a career when you're on your own and also take care of your family being the only male and taking all the responsibilities. I'm pretty sure that Bhajji will come back strong.. Sorry for digressing and being emotional.
