Stuge Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Delhi's first flash mob takes the city by storm New Delhi: A group of people, who appear out of nowhere, falling into step. The act designed to amuse and designed to confuse. They entertain and disperse, vanishing just as quickly as they appeared. And that was Delhi's first ever flash mob, organised by event company Cabbageheads. Cabbageheads Event Manager Ayush Gupta said, "The purpose of a flash mob is to break the monotony. And it most definitely did break the monotony! After the police swooped down on them at Janpath, which was to be the original venue for the flash mob, the determined dancers regrouped at Priya Market in Vasant Vihar. As for those watching the performance, they were left stunned taking more than a few minutes to digest what they had just experienced. Over the last year, flash mobbing has found takers in cities across the globe. From people springing up to sing the Hallelujah Chorus in a shopping mall at Ontario to people frozen in tandem at the Grand Central station in New York, to a group of young Mumbaikars grooving to 'Rang De Basanti' at the Chatrapati terminus. All of a sudden those Bollywood songs that play out irrationally in the middle of a story almost seem to make sense. Even in the middle of the daily grind, here's a reminder that it's absolutely okay to shake a leg and share a laugh. Every once in a while. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/delhis-first-flash-mob-takes-the-city-by-storm/208602-3.html

Stuge Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 we are laughing at Flash mobs...not police and why you went with police? you just cannot gather public at large ,which can lead to chaos .That's why one needs permission before holding such stunts . I know it sounds vague and stupid ,but there are lot of security concerns these days . thanks to our padosis .
