Sachin=GOD Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 you are arguing in favor of me :winky: i am a fan of nexus and motorola phones .. but OEMs are actually screwing android by the name of choices and low cost smartphones.. android KNOX support ( not sure what part of KNOX goes inside ) is going to screw android more in enterprise space Agreed. I guess the Android Silver program is aimed at regaining control. And IIRC recently Google and Samsung reached wide ranging agreements where Samsung agreed to sort of tone down TouchWiz from future devices - S5 already has a better TouchWiz than any other version so far so IMO its going to get better for Android from here on... Another thing is that with Android TV/Watch/Auto etc coming in the near future, the demand for a more unified Android experience on various OEM's phones will grow and Android will benefit from that. On the topic of Apple - it is obvious for everyone to see that there's been less and less of innovation in the company in the last 2-3 years. Just changing the size of the same devices (iPad Mini or larger iPhones) won't work now. They've got to diversify, take some risks and use that HUGE pile of money they've got in the bank. And in this they can learn a thing or two from Google and even Samsung.

Sachin=GOD Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 So Google/Android will be there on your Phone, Laptop, Tablets, Watch, Glasses, TV, Car, and Home (through Nest). Here are some of projects Google has been working on in the last few years: Project Loon Google Fiber Project Ara (modular smartphones) Project Tango (3D mapping of your sorroundings) Virtual Reality Robotics (they've bought many robotics companies) Self Driving Cars Smart Contact Lenses and a few more.... Here's what Apple has done in the last few years: Made the iPad smaller (iPad Mini) Made the iPhone bigger (thats coming in a few months) Made the Macbooks and iMac thinner and more powerful and of course, they brought thrid party keyboards and gave developers more control over the apps and also brought widgets for iOS. I guess Larry and Sergey would be sh!tting their pants at these mighty accomplishments from Apple :hysterical: You need to watch this year's WWDC Read the things in bold and now tell me - what has Apple done in the last 2-3 years to match this?

StriKe Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 Android mobile/OS was re-done from scratch after the iPhone first release :--D

StriKe Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 copy cats :hitler: here read this http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2013/12/the-day-google-had-to-start-over-on-android/282479/ On the day Jobs announced the iPhone, the director of the Android team, Andy Rubin, was six hundred miles away in Las Vegas, on his way to a meeting with one of the myriad handset makers and carriers that descend on the city for the Consumer Electronics Show. He reacted exactly as DeSalvo predicted. Rubin was so astonished by what Jobs was unveiling that, on his way to a meeting, he had his driver pull over so that he could finish watching the webcast. “Holy crap,†he said to one of his colleagues in the car. “I guess we’re not going to ship that phone.†An earlier prototype codenamed "Sooner" had a closer resemblance to a BlackBerry phone, with no touchscreen, and a physical, QWERTY keyboard, but was later re-engineered to support a touchscreen, to compete with other announced devices such as the 2006 LG Prada and 2007 Apple iPhone.[35][36] In September 2007
