SachDan Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 For the first time ESPN-Star will broadcast a major India series without these two in the commentary box! ESS Commentators Ravi Shastri Sourav Ganguly Ian Chappell Tom Moody Wasim Akram Jason de la Pena
chainsmoker Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I don't mind Sunil Gavaskar exclusion that much but Harsha Bhogle shud have been there. He really knows his job well. He will be a real crucial factor on this tour. What a pathetic decision BTW by BCCI
Old guy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 For the first time ESPN-Star will broadcast a major India series without these two in the commentary box! chainsmoker Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 im happy...even if htere was no india i would be happy cos no arun lal and shiva lmfao those guys give me headache And no Russel arnold as well. He is a real headache
SachDan Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 I'm not a fan of Harsha's ball-by-ball commentary but he's as good as anyone for analysis shows. Will be missed big time :(
Old guy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 And no Russel arnold as well. He is a real headache yep and and its always good to hear wht wasim is saying abt bowlers.. and ganguly would fight it out even while doing commentary LOL he is much better than other india commentators imo atleast he is interesting would improve his speaking skills with experience :P
kubrickian Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Gavaskar and Bhogle are both good. I dont know why they've been left out. Maybe busy doing some other work ? I hate Akram's commentary. The guy cant speak a single sentence in English without stuttering. Great player but poor commentator. Saurav Ganguly is excellent when he is giving expert opinions in the pre/post match presentation but as a live commentator, he can be a bit dull. He'll probably improve with more experience though. Dont care much about Moody's commentary but Alan Wilkins is very good.
rkt.india Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I'm not a fan of Harsha's ball-by-ball commentary but he's as good as anyone for analysis shows. Will be missed big time :( He is shifted to Radio commentary, had tweeted about it a few days back.
Old guy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 dont forget stoned shastri when shastri is stoned he makes things happen! lmao i remeb last series in australia when ever he was on air 2-3 wickets fell :P
vamos_rafa Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Sunny's insights are excellent when he's not having orgasms about Sachin's records. Harsha's post match analysis would be filled in ably by Wilkins who is as good as him. Steve Waugh should be intersting. I like Waz as well, his English may be poor but he speaks his heart out.
rkt.india Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 For the first time ESPN-Star will broadcast a major India series without these two in the commentary box! ESS Commentators Ravi Shastri Sourav Ganguly Steve Waugh Tom Moody Wasim Akram Alan Wilkins Panauti :wall:

SachDan Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Harsha Bhogle is a freelancer now, might be the compensation package issue that resulted in him being overlooked for the first time by ESS. Harsha will be commentating for ABC radio though.
Old guy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Wasim and Ganguly work well as a pair. hope these guy will only work for indian audience :P
SachDan Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 He is shifted to Radio commentary' date=' had tweeted about it a few days back.[/quote'] Seems like it was a forced "shift"..reading his tweets, it's obvious he too is disappointed.
Magneto Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 waugh and ganguly commentating together..there are gonna be 2 competitive matches going on one at ground other in commentary box LOL Hope Ganguly doesn't turn up late for commentary seeing Waugh.
f.b.m Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Anyone know who the commentators for Ch 9 are?
asterix Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I always thought that 'Motormouth' Harsha was more suited for Radio Commentry..
Needforspeed Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Ganguly's comments are very refreshing. Sunny talks too much in cliches...knowlege-wise he is good. Shastri is a must..Strong supporter of the Team India. Glad that Sanjay Manjrekar & Harsha Bogle are not there.
