rkt.india Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 He came back from injury, played 2-3 Ranji games, but could not do much, and was left out of JHarkhand's last Ranji game. He is one of their best upcoming players and it is not easy to comeback from a serious injury after a long lay off (10 months) and start picking up wickets even for experienced international players. Rhythm, action, pace take time to come back and then self doubts about another injuries can creep in the mind as well. He still only 21. Lets see if he keeps himself fit for IPL and get back to rhythm, still Vijay Hazaare trophy to be played, and plays for MI or any other franchise. 5 FC matches in a season is not good enough for a Ranji team which plate league teams get to play.

speed_demon Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 the dissapointing fact is that he is not picking wickets, to come to limelight, if he were then everyone would be talking about him, if you are an express bowler you got to take wickets to come to notice, umesh, varun had some 5fers against their name which bought them to limelight along with the pace. Frankly i do not have big hopes from him, but hopefully he proves me wrong, and comes stronger than in the past.

Yes he has not picked many wickets in Ranji or in U22 after coming back from injury, but it happens to most bowlers and is not easy to star taking wickets after serious long injury break. It can take time get the action and rhythm back. Let see in one days and if he plays in IPL this time. We are still not sure if he can bowl quick or not. We have heard all the things about he can bowl quick like Aaron, but there is no video of him bowling yet. So, we will need to wait and see before jumping the gun.

Aaron too also had one fifer. he has only 4 list A games and 7 FC games before this season. He has been injured for the last one year and has just come back. He will have time on his side. Just, hope, he gets his act right soon, does well, and has some pace about him. Because if there is no pace then there is no reason to talk much about him.

But can he hit it big is the question, have not heard him from the last ranji round, heard that Saurabh & Rahul were dropped from Jharkand Ranji team for the last match, he was replaced by Jaskaran singh i suppose. Dont know if he was dropped due to injury or lack of form or what ? He needs to break a FEW JAWS in Ranji to be noticed, simple.
