I think it's funny that India are top 3 test team, have 2 of the best batsmen ever to play test Cricket, have other players like Sehwag, Gambhir, and Laxman, yet more than half the people thought they won't be able to chase 292 runs in 2 days. Why is that?

Why is that?[/quote'] anybody who has watched indian cricket over the last year would know that the batting lineup is in decline. collapses have become too frequent, at home, and away from home. against good teams and against bad teams. on turners, on flat tracks, on seaming wickets, on swinging wickets. this batting lineup doesnt score the big runs they used to. they havent made a 300+ score in god knows how long. compare this to the way india put up 500+ totals in australia and england back in 2007. it's a PERMANENT decline.
