Light up the building and have lamps plus they order Indian food. I am probably one of the few Hindu's in the office. maybe you need to make a suggestion. Now thats a lie i live in UK and they dont celebrate xmas yes if ur hindu or sikh u can take a day off they dont even wish on diwali forget about celebrating its only we have this slave mentality pleasing the goras to any extent. Out of Indian origin in Uk sikh people celebrate the most on christmas they sing carols and have trees in their houses then gujaratis do to some extent.

He does not mind. So i take a sick day on the main diwali day. on christmas i just have a good meal with my family and enjoy watching the programs on TV.(not thats what i mentioned it in my opening post as it was related to the work place) If anything the UK is a pretty religion neutral society. My neighbors and everybody seems to just exchange gifts. Its become too commercial. Its the same when i was at university, local british people did not mind at all taking part in Diwali festivities. I mean who would not with the food on offer? In general though people in western europe, are really not big into the religion.

Serani Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Nobody is even christian these days, i celebrate christmas but dont give a ***kkk about the whole religious side of it, go on facebook and plenty of my Indian friends (believe it or not I do have some) have uploaded pictures of there gifts/christmas dinner etc. Its just an excuse to have a good time and relax.

All my friends are white as i grew up in a predominantly white area. They certainly dont mind talking into the local temple for diwali to check out the hot girls and taste the free food.
