It is unfair to compare Ishant to Sreesanth, like comparing apples and pears. On the one hand is mediocre Ishant of 4 years and on the other is a "highly skilled" Sreesanth in Steyn and Anderson mould. This was felt by Kirsten, Greg Chappell, Donald e.t.c Sreesanth and Steyn should not be mentioned in the same sentence.

Leave everything aside, when the two of them play together, thats across 9 tests, Ishant has 32 wickets@33, Sreesanth has 22 wickets@49. So continue to cry about Sreesanth in that joke of a thread of yours and do not derail every thread with your nonsense.

Batsmen knows what he's gonna do bit like hiffenhas n siddle to some extent. But the difference is they bowled good length for a longer period of time than Ishant did. "Unlucky" is overrated term which doesnt prepare the bowler to accept his mistakes n improve. Yes he's just 23 bit he'sa veteran of 43 tests and should know his strengths and importantly how to usethem, for gods sake he allows the batsmento leave hellava balls.
BestVRest Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Sharma needs to keep bowling fuller, he is bowling that "unlucky length" and if he keeps bowling that length he will always be unlucky. In Australia the best way to get wickets even at Perth is to bowl fuller, but I think that "unlucky length" is why Sharma is so ineffective.

A county stint followed by the rigors of domestic cricket will teach him how to start taking wickets regularly. Should not be picked for the national side again unless he starts taking wickets regularly in first class cricket.

County stint?He already has good work ethic, what he really needs is proper guidance by a coach who can sort his problems,At this level if you see a bowler with suhc a horrible seam position you can easily tell what the coaching staff is doing.
