At the VERY least he deserves to play the 2nd test.

Can't see him playing the third test if he fails in both innings in Sydney. Let's hope that it does not come down to that. I said before the start of the series that he should get 2 tests and I'll stick with that even though he has several technical issues.

If he fails in both innings in the next test and we don't win it then yeah, it would be fair (and probably necessary) to drop him.

We are just not able to click as a batting unit, hopefully Sydney will bring back good times. There is definite quality in this lineup and i am sure they will bounce back. Regarding Kohli, i would give him one more chance to see how he performs and then bring Rohit in place of him. Gambhir though seems to be a bigger problem for us right now, since he is not providing us the starts and looks like a walking wicket everytime the ball is pitched outside off stump.

They have "quality" on paper, certainly. But what counts in the real world is on field performance and there is absolutely no question the Indian batting line-up has been one of the most pathetic in Test cricket over the past 12 months. Hell, even our much maligned bowlers dismissed England for 224 at Trent Bridge and dismissed Australia for 240 and 333 at the MCG. But this **** batting line-up keeps humiliating us with their abject failures game after game.
