He helped it increase from few seats to a major political party to challenge the dynasty of Congress. Vajpayee was the face of this party.

Sachin=GOD Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Advani was the brains behind the rise of BJP. He helped it increase from few seats to a major political party to challenge the dynasty of Congress. Vajpayee was the face of this party. but it was the "face" which got the votes and the support of the 22 coalition partners.
rkt.india Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 but it was the "face" which got the votes and the support of the 22 coalition partners. This. Only Vajpayee had that caliber first up to brought so many parties on a single front. Without him, BJP would not even have dream of becoming the ruling party.
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 why would that be sherlock??? Elementary , My dear Watson :--D
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 but it was the "face" which got the votes and the support of the 22 coalition partners. Perhaps but anyone can be the face. It was the planning and grand vision of Advani which allowed the party to expland.
bulbul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Perhaps but anyone can be the face. It was the planning and grand vision of Advani which allowed the party to expland. Both are importat to BJP at that time... Adavani put hardwork from background while ABV bought others together...BJP is nothing without them thats why these kind of compariosns wont work and i asked your help at the begining of the thread :winky:

Sachin=GOD Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Perhaps but anyone can be the face. It was the planning and grand vision of Advani which allowed the party to expland. its like Pranab Mukherjee in Kangress - he is the main brains in the party but Sonia Gandhi is the leader and will be for a long time because she's the main crowd puller and the one acceptable to coalition partners. AB Vajpayee had a degree of gravitas - something no other Indian leader in the last 2 decades has had. Also, he had great political acumen.
