Whats wrong with the team?

I definately think problem is in the leadership. Last two tour we had rookie attacks, no Zaheer and still they did really well on flat wicket of Sydney, They got ball to swing..I just don't understand complete failure of our attack.. Similar thing happened in England, No consistency in bowling. Batting used to save us, but now they are under pressure, getting out to rookies.. The first time in history of cricket we were ranked above aussies and favorite to win the series..But now we are playing catchup.. This team was unbeaten for 3 years...you can't lose ability just like that...something is not right in the dressing room or leadership is lacking..

Which period are you referring to ?? We lost Test matches in 2008 , 2010 & 2011. Which 3 year unbeaten streak are you talking about ?

How could you lose Test matches when your country didn't play Test matches that year? :WTF:

He meant not losing a test series starting from Sept 2008 to Jun 2011. Time you stopped acting like an Indian.

Thanks for the clarification. Some record

I have tried. But having lived in India for so many years it is very tough .

When u bat pathetically in the first day of a test match and score 190 on a 400 + wicket blaming the bowling is a joke. How do u expect to find swing in a wicket when there isnt any? Ifour so called great batsmen have managed to bat a single session yesterday morning carefully we would have batted in these beautiful batting conditions yesterday and today. But no dont blame the batsmen like Sachin Sehwag Laxman and Gambhir they are sacred. Blame bowlers captaincy coach toss speed gun vastu and everything else so that we can excuse our pathetic batting. Sachin Sehwag Gambhir and Laxman have scored a single century in last 14 innings home or away. And we are trying to find fault with bowlers

Since 2009 India has been the easiest team to score 100's against. No other bowling "attack" has been this friendly . Not Bangladesh , New Zealand , West Indies or Pakistan. Ind.jpg

MSD is unable to command test team like ODI team.. reason - too many senior players.. proof - sticking with same batting order again and again.. In ODIs, he has been changing batting order according to situation and at will..

Here are the problems I think. 1. Our young guns are too spoiled... thanks to IPL. Guys like Kohli and Gambhir should be royally kicked out of tests because they pretty much consistently fail to perform in Test matches. We've come to expect the same kind of performance from them as we've seen in the ODIs and these guys simply do not have the temperament for Test Cricket. 2. Indian Flat Tracks: A huge blame goes to the fact that Indians in general tie good cricket to good batting. The entire focus is on batting....There is not much value for pace bowling.. and why would there be? when pace bowling on flat Indian tracks is effectively neutralized for lack of bounce and resilience. Indians need to cultivate bouncy clayey pitches if they ever hope of succeeding outside India especially in Aus and Eng. From the plethora of stadiums we have in India and the unlimited money that BCCI has.. it is laughable that they don't focus on cultivating more clayey pitches to help us develop all around. 3. IPL Matches: The ultimate bane of International Cricket. I am all for capitalism and free market taking it's full swing.. I am not even much concerned about whether IPL matches tax the players too much physically (even though that does happen).. I am more worried about IPL RUINING the hunger in players to perform internationally. Too much of anything makes the value go down.. and I think that is exactly what IPL has done. Youngsters have too much money now and there is no motivation or desperation to prove themselves. 4. Emotional Quotient: Indians are emotional first.. and rational second. A minor setback can affect us emotionally and we cease to rationalize our way out of tight situations. We lose faith and hope pretty easily while lamenting our sorry state of affairs. Look at Ishant and see how emotional he gets after every delivery. He has this "thakela" attitude when his balls don't deliver a wicket. 5. Coach: Our coach is worthless.. Not because he is entirely responsible for our failures.. but I don't think he is effective in pointing out the mistakes our team makes over and again. I don't think he thinks about strategy and I definitely don't think he is "coaching" anybody on anything.. because I have not seen any of the above being manifested in any of our games.

MSD could be tired with being captain....he won the ultiimate thing i.e world cup. motivational level may not be same..
WC was more than a year ago and no more of this tired bullshit. We got our asses handed to us in England and we had some reasons for that. For this series, especially against this team which has similar problems in their batting department, there are no FKNG EXCUSES. THEY keep playing the same deadweight over and over again and we expect them to win? Even the young gunz are busy reciting maa behen poems! We deserve to lose. The main difference between the sides is running between the wickets, fielding ( although Aussies dropped more catches than us, we gave many more in the field), and the bowlers with their consistent line and length.
