wilsondavid
I also think so that but as I watch the score of the India in Perth ground I feel that India cricket team never want to fight against the Australia. Also the score of the India cricket team also not very much so that this test also can be lost by Indian cricket team. Link to comment

bharat297
Where to from here? Enough is enough. This is probably Indian Test cricket's lowest point since the new millenium. However, if we take rational/logical steps we can move forward. 1. Sehwag must be dropped, unfortunately. As destructive as he can be, unfortunately he consistently puts us on the back foot with his lack of technique and temperament meaning he is unable to survive tough periods of bowling on difficult tracks. 2. One of either Dravid or Laxman must step down at the end of this series. The reason Im not saying Tendulkar is that he looks technically the most comfortable out of the 3, and none of the youngsters are experienced enough to take over the No.4 slot yet. But we need to phase out the middle order 1 at a time. I would say if Dravid retires, bring in Pujara to fill the No.3 slot. If Laxman retires, bring in Rohit Sharma to bat at No.5. 3. Do not close the book on the likes of Raina and Kohli. Their technique was shown up in England and Australia respectively. However, it is important that India (domestic form warranting) keep these guys in and around the squad (even if they don't necessarily make the starting XI). The next time we tour these places, their experience will be crucial and hopefully they would have learnt their lessons the hard way. 4. Send Ishant over to spend a season playing English county cricket, post surgery. I like Ishant Sharma. He is a hard-working bowler who one day will be the leader of the Indian pace attack. The fact is, people do forget he is only 23 years old. He is still very much learning his craft. He probably has another 10-12 years in him. Unfortunately, at the moment, he doesn't possess enough wicket taking deliveries in his arsenal. A season in county cricket, away from the media hustle and bustle will allow Ishant some time to introspect and hopefully come back a much more mature bowler who knows his trade. 5. Rework the coaching structure. I think remove Fletcher as head coach and appoint Sourav Ganguly as Team Manager and have specialist batting, bowling and fielding coaches. The team manager's role is simply to mentor the captain and assist the captain. Hopefully Ganguly's mental toughness and aggressive attitude rubs off on our captain. The specialist coaches are there purely for technical skills. 6. Dhoni must step down as captain. Unfortunately, most captains don't have much new to offer after 4 years. Dhoni is approaching his 4th year as captain. Gambhir appears to be the most suitable remaining candidate for captain. Link to comment
The Outsider
News is coming in of the discord and fight in the Australian camp at the end of the Indian innings. As Cowen and Warner were starting to pad up, Punter went up to them and said, "Look mate, I am going to open the batting today. I have earned it with my 160 test match experience. I don't want Pup to declare before I get a chance to smash another hundred". Mr. Cricket pushed Punter aside, "Pup is not a pup anymore, he is the DAWG. Just for failing to realize this, I am going to open instead and anyhow I am Mr. Cricket". Punter threw his glove at the TV and smashed it to pieces, which made the bowling contingent mad. Their leader Siddle threw a ball at Punter and said, "Mate you aren't the skip anymore. We were watching the best of Vinay Kumar on a loop to help us get over the next 2 days - it was being telecast on Comedy Central". Pup, sensing the discord starting singing the Australian national anthem and put on Katich and Lara Bingle on the speaker phone, said "WAIT ON! I am going in as soon as the anthem finishes". But by then Warner and Cowen had already stepped out in the middle. However, the fractious relationship in the team is likely to cause agony for them in the future against the 4 pronged pace attack of India. Link to comment
Number
Once again we saw our batsmen get stuck on one end and allow bowlers to find their rhythm. Unfortunately some of them aren't quick movers b/w the wickets and don't even have an eye for the singles. :(( Link to comment
kabira
13th the Friday and Horror Story I have watched cricket for over 2 decades now..right from 91-92 australia series which I followed on radio..and till today..I must say, I nver ever seen the gutless bowling display ever. How difficult is to bowl at one channel, you do you stuff right, if batsman still hits you, well thats the risk he took.... I know our batting failed, but when batting is not doing well, your bowling has to do the double here. Its mother*fffkcing green pitch and still they can't put the bowl in right areas. I was able to accept 4-0 loss against England as they were superior side...But Aussies, even Kiwis beat them. Jeeeeez, My rant is over.. Link to comment
Dravid_TheWall
But fear not, our current 4 seamers are menacing on the WACA pitch. ZK, Yadav, ISHANT AND VK :hysterical: Link to comment
saneindian
Credit to the Aussie bowlers. They are relentless and have been absolutely spot on with their length. And the number of times they have beaten the bat, its a surprise we haven't yet been dismissed for a 65-70 kind of total. Likes of Sehwag and RD haven't got anything short, it has all been pitch up pitch, move out move in giving them no time to settle down. And credit to the Aussie captain as well. Till the first two tests, they were bowling outside off to SRT, today the line was straighter with a short midwicket and mid on, forcing Sach to play across the line, a shot he doesn't play often in test cricket. They nearly played out 30% of the overs as maidens. Link to comment
BERGKAMP
what little confidence the batters had left after england has been shot to pieces. they are stuck in a trance when they come out to bat and don't know how to get out of it. Link to comment
