BCCI Bus breaksdown in the middle of the Outback Somewhere in the Great Victoria Desert, on the Gunbarrel Highway the Indian Cricket Team's bus broke down after three of its tyres went flat. The team was making an early exit from Perth and decided on taking the scenic route through the desert towards Adelaide for the final test when the tyres gave out at right about the same time, leaving the contingent stranded in sweltering conditions with limited water and lavatory facilities. Our reporter, who got there after a few hours was surprised to notice the condition of these tyres. All the flat tyres were well-worn out and were even down to the underlying wire skeleton. The 16 wheel Volvo which is charged with transporting the most important sportsmen of the Cricket crazy country is otherwise well-appointed, boasting of a full-blown entertainment center, SPAs, 180 degree reclining beds and a world-class kitchen with a 24-hour Michelin chef on board. When our reporter discussed the sorry state of the tyres, the BCCI Spokesmen, Bhole Bhavlekar revealed that this was standard operating procedure that was put in place a few years back. The tyres, although inspected regularly, were as a rule never replaced until they blow out and are in no way serviceable. Spares were also not carried to keep the weight of the bus down and replacements are always driven in from the nearest stockroom. "These tyres have served us well until now and we have traveled thousands on miles on them and the bus owes a lot to them" said Bhavlekar while shooing a couple of curious dingos away from the bus, "We see no reason to change something until it breaks." He however declined to comment if one of the tyres was made by MRF.

CA - Indian team has left them searching for answers 1. How do they manage the revenue loss? The matches are ending in fewer days. Do they sue BCCI? 2. Ponting and Hussey looked good against this team in the first two matches. I am sure they were also having thoughts of retiring these veteran players. What do they do now?

Tips for the sunday morning It's been a tough team this Indian side to follow from past 2 overseas tours. Results have been absolute trash and it's sort of frustrating rite now for all of us to read anything related to cricket. Here's my list of things which I recommend. - Look into reading the build up to the Ranji Trophy final between Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. - Australian Open- Tennis season kicks off. Watch some nice tennis 5 setters which are about to come. Don't forget to support Paes/Radek and Bhupathi/Bopanna team. - Watch some NFL - For those in USA. Playoff time it is. add some more if you can .
