Good to know you watch the most important series in test cricket.

lol i watch most series.. specially now a days lots of new bowlers coming up and its fun to see england bowl lot of planning ... and with cummings, pattinson, harris in australian side.. they have enough natural talent ,flair to match england

I think Harris is seen as more of a back up,seeing as he is so injury prone if he plays too many matches in a row he will get injured again and that will be curtains for his career. So Australia are in a pretty luxorious position where we can rotate the bowlers and not really suffer as a result. The interesting one is Lyon, does he need to be there?
What's the point of not playing him in ODIs if he is not a first pick test bowler? Use him while you can because he is very good. You've got good bench strength anyway.

But England is a TOP team and deserve the No.1 ranking. Their only problem is playing spinners in the subcontinent. They have 6 good batsmen, 1 okay keeper and 4 good bowlers. They beat us black and blue in all departments. On the other hand, 3 out of 6 batsmen of Australia are lame by rotation. A pathetic keeper. 3 good pace bowlers and a nothing spinner. We lost to them pathetically rather than they beating us.

yeah, lol well suffer you aussi minnow pwned by our tean last year:--D
Credit where due, England completely outplayed us and deserved it. However, we were very weak back then, I think we are much stronger now, at least bowling wise. Back then we still had Johnson leaking runs at ease, Siddle was nowhere near as good as he is now same with Hilfenhaus and our spinners.. Even Beer played a test match!! Next ashes tour will be much tighter. Then we will find out how good this England team is.

Would go further than that and say he is a very good keeper. His keeping is not the best but he has worked hard and improved on it while his batting is excellent for a keeper and he can take a game away from the opposition by scoring quick runs. This is the strongest England team since i have started watching cricket (1999). They have a very strong batting line-up, a very good WK and a well rounded bowling attack (with some very good reserve bowlers). They bat down to 10 and for a team to beat them they will have to bowl and bat very well.

I still think Siddle and Hilfenhaus are average bowlers against good batsmen. And let's not consider India as a good batting unit anymore.

i agree india now arent really good.. few moore gutsy innings like kohli could ve saved us this match but some people will still blame bowlers ;) and england will handle hilfy much better siddle actually impressed me but still wont make into teams like england or south africa..

They have improved a lot since last year. Hilfenhaus has added a yard of pace and has developed a ball that comes in to the right hander (does not move in a great deal but does just enough). Siddle has been excellent in recent series'. He bowls with aggression and can get the ball to move both ways (he didn't move the ball much last year, the Aus commentators picked up on that in the last test match).

I WOULD PLAY , Starc left hander to be honest he cud be better then the other two rookies, Pattinson young bowler with pace good control, Siddle the one with a bulldog spirit never say die attitude and experience .

Prior is the best batsman as a wicketkeeper right now.
