koksmayu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Congrates dravid made new test cricket world record to get boweled highest 54times passing the allan border had 53 times Lol
Prakat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 He was nowhere in the picture before this series and now this. Years from now people will wonder at the anomaly of someone being labelled the "Wall" who holds the record for being bowled out the most times in Test cricket. They'll wonder if it was a sarcastic nickname. :((
ali0786 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Hard to imagine that Dravid out of all people hold's this record. Very surprising.
Prakat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ^ Border, Sachin, Kallis and Dravid are up there due purely because of the volume of innings they have played.
Number Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How he did so well in England and struggling here against same type of deliveries is beyond me.
Old guy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How he did so well in England and struggling here against same type of deliveries is beyond me. at this age u cant really be consistent ur reflexes are slow.. he is a gr8 player no question abt that and this series will change nothing for him respect wise more over i think conditions are diff here much more bounce...and australia found his weakness...
shinchan Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 This record is just because no of innings played is more.. Don't forget he faced most no of delivery in tests Though he got bowled few time this season..this kinda record doesn't make him bad batsman

Might be true. His reflexes are playing a part but I don't think he has major weakness in his technique. He is one of the most composed batsmen ever and has scored against better bowlers than this.

Prakat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 then people should just shut up about highest number of tons' date=' highest number of runs etc as well.[/quote'] Wickets are bound to be lost, batsmen are bound to get bowled every now and then, but a century does not just happen, it takes doing.
amiret Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 How he did so well in England and struggling here against same type of deliveries is beyond me. Even in England his innings were scratchy and not fluent.
master22 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Even in England his innings were scratchy and not fluent. who cares if he looked scratchy he scored three centuries, thats what matters not how you look.
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Even in England his innings were scratchy and not fluent. three more centuries than any paki.
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Even when he is out of form he puts in maximum effort and grinds it out (like today). Cant say the same about some of the others in the team.
