hussey clarke agree. ponting no. he scored a 100 on good batting conditions against crap bowling. i don't he'll be able to do it against better attacks.
Yeah Ponting struggled against us last two series. I'm not sure he'll even be around 18 months from now. So that leaves Clarke and a 38 year old Hussey. :nervous:

depends on what he does in the coming tours. if he can manage a decent india tour he'll prolly play the ashes. win or lose he'll quit after that.

Warner and Cowan have the makings of a great partnership. Then we still have Watson to come back and replace Haddin with Wade/Paine.

Same old sterotypes. In tests our current batmen are very good at playing spin.

Pakistan.:hysterical: Australia's current side aren't anything great against spin. South likewise.

How many did Monty take? They can't play him. And Swann was all over their batsman they couldn't score. They're one of the poorest teams when it comes to playing spin. Maybe not so in the past but last several years they've been terrible.

i really doubt that these spinners would do any significant damage it all depends on how ur pacers use old ball..does not sounds good from broad's comments he said we would need to get through middle overs.. can anderson reverse swing? (im just asking)

Sub standard when they leave the sub continent. Careful, you might start losing matches at home next! patto_man > Shawarma Granted India will be a much better side when VVS and Sehwag are replaced with Pujara etc.
u guys were thrashed by poms at home, we never were nor will, heck u drew 1-1 with nzl, lost 2-1 at home to saffers, which we havent+ u guys were thrashed by us in last 2 series u came to india, so dont try to belittle indian team, bcoz u guys will also come to india later, and if when ur team will lose u`ll get the same feeling we are getting right now, what goes around comes around... anyway congrats to the 4-0 win, enjoy

you cannot take anything away from their bowling. they rarely bowled real bad balls and swung the ball every time and wr did not see much conventional swing from any indian bowler.
I agree with this post. No doubt we have been abysmal and any kind of excuses will not be justified, but must praise Aussie bowlers for their efforts. All through this series they have been relentless and kept coming at Indians. In last three tests whenever I saw Aussie bowlers, they were always right on the money without giving any breathing space to Indians in terms of line and length. Indians were always made hard to score runs and even odd fifties that Indians scored looked hard earned. Though one argument could be that Indian batsmen allows australian bowlers to settle in line and length and dictate the terms, but Aussie did not lose it during brief periods when Indians were on top like 2nd day of Melbourne. We can put all the blame on batsmen but good bowling could have made all the difference. If you look at some of recent Australia's defeats, they lost even after bundling out oppositions for very paltry scores. They lost to SA even after budling them out to 96. They lost to NZ in Hobart though NZ had scored just 150 runs in first innings. I am not sure if these are the kind of pitches where you can give a pat on the back of your bowlers for restricting opposition within 350 or so.

the english bowlers will day in day out eat these pathetic aus batsmen.... tbh england have the best batting nd bowing line up in the world, they murdered the aussies in ashes, i mean 517-1 after conceding 200+lead, this england side is very different
best batting probably bowling...south africa!

The Indian team has belittled itself enough tbh, it's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel as soon as you cross the border. Australia won't lose in a white wash (3-0, 4-0, whatever), it'll be a close contest all the way which India will probably just win.The series after when our team has gelled and benefited from a few years experience will see us win over there again. Don't be defeatist. It's not 4-0 yet. Adelaide is usually a draw due to the pitch being a road. Only laughably inept teams like 06/07 England manage to lose it. Ohh...
