Both you lollipop boys, next time stop jumping about our 5-0 lead against the padosis in world cups. We've had the pleasure of experiencing all the victories whereas you were either in your diapers or conveniently 'unborn' when hot, earthshattering action was happening on the cricket field.

thank god we didn't get to see india of 90s.
Ah, you've missed Sachin's lone battles and Azhar's swagger and Ganguly's debut and so on. All you have seen is Sehwag and Kohli. And the whitewash against the Poms with our spin trio. :winky:

You missed the best of Sachin then.Still vividely remember when Sachin walked out as opener in the One dayers for the first time which we watched in the wee hours in India. What a memorable knock that was.

And the sixes that Sachin hit off Abdul Qadir in that rain-curtailed unofficial match that eventually became a tontee-tontee match. The beginning of the master - and he hadn't even played an international match then.

It's about the journey and not about the destination. Our cricketing journey with India has been quite a rollercoaster. :-)

India's been winning in India for a long time (a lot in the 90s as well). And the innumerable Hero Cups, Independence Cups, Singer Cups and all. The horror of the 90s is exaggerated. Only the overseas tours were problematic, and we are back to square one now.
