Selectors are not good enough I would say.

I am telling you, there has always been cry for sporting wickets in the last 25-30 yrs but our pitch curators and their governing bodies are so fecking dumb that they won't care and they will again come up with another Ranji final type track

Bro, Sony is a very well known personality in South. You can search his name on internet and he has been little bit involved in politics too. So, obviously that would have played a big role in his selection for south zone at this age of 33. Especially when there is another bowler in Indian team of similar age, Zaheer Khan who has almost finished his intl career

The selectors picked a 15-member squad for the four-day tie in which North Zone will take on the winner of the match between East Zone and West Zone. Delhi's left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan was named as vice captain of the team. Apart from Dhawan, six more Delhi players, including medium pacer Pradeep Sangwan and all-rounder Rajat Bhatia, found place in the squad while Haryana had in total three cricketers. Rahul Diwan and H V Patel are the other two Haryana players in the squad. Three players from Himachal Pradesh, two from Punjab and one from Jammu and Kashmir were included in the squad. The eight-member Zonal Selection Committee also named four stand-by players in MS Goni, Nishan Singh, Gurvinder Singh and Yashpal Singh. Instead all the teams are filled with old men with no future-not even in the India A team. The average age here must be more than the present Indian team.
