ali0786 Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Looks like a beautiful place to play. First when I read the title of the thread, I thought it read "Dharmasena" cleared to host internationals...:hmmm:
NeutralCat Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Wow, that is great news, always felt India need a picturesque ground so we can promote India for more tourism etc, great move this and congrats. Now maybe we can make the pitch here conductive to extra pace and bounce.
Sir john Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 :bhangra: my state now going to host ODI nd T20.:woot: :yay::yay::yay:
Sir john Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 in dharamshala you don't need any petrol in your vehicle while returning back from city :hehe: vehicle runs without petrol.
rkt.india Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I thought it was at a higher elevations' date='its almost at the same elevation as bangalore.[/quote'] Bangalore is 949 meters, while Dharamshala is 1317 meters. That is why so many 6s are hit on both the grounds high altitude. Wanderers is another ground 1753 meters above sea level.
saneindian Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Wonderful news. Look forward to them hosting an international match.
shinchan Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 one of the most beautiful ground... good news..
adi B Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 :yay: wow great news, picturesque ground, lush green outfield, just hope its a green top, we have got good new young fats bowlers, just prepare green tops exclusively on this venue to nurture these players well nd hope the batsmen learn well
Crookbond Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Dharmasala can rival Cape Town for its beauty.
Number Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hosted 2 IPL games this season. With good conditions it makes an ideal track for pace bowling. ( Probably the best in India and beats Mohali by a margin in that) Seems to be a very good test match venue.
SLICKR392 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Test Match is going to be extremely beutifuuuuuul to watch in this ground. Early morning game *wow*. Average T20 score is 193...a bit more green would make it a superb cricket wicket.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Test Match is going to be extremely beutifuuuuuul to watch in this ground. Early morning game *wow*. Average T20 score is 193...a bit more green would make it a superb cricket wicket. seems you didnt watch the games this year...
saneindian Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Excellent venue, great to watch cricket. Before tours to SA/Aus/Eng, our teams should be stationed here for a couple of weeks of conditioning camp on grassy bouncy tracks.
bangladeshifan Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 wow. nice. but it will be hard to field all day in a test match in this ground. fielders will get tired easily
kabira Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 putting it on my wishlist watch cricket match in Dharamsala.
gaurav92 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 putting it on my wishlist watch cricket match in Dharamsala. :two_thumbs_up:
rkt.india Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 wow. nice. but it will be hard to field all day in a test match in this ground. fielders will get tired easily Wanderers is at higher altitude than this ground. There is no problem playing there.
achilles Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Wow! What a picturesque setting for a Cricket match!:icflove: This has gotta be among the top stadiums in the world.
