Congrats Ticks!!!! I have a question here. Why is USA so poor at cricket? If you think in terms of population, the West Indian + Indian + Pakistani population of the USA is more than that of the UK. So obviously there is some base for the game. And you have countries like Canada and Bermuda playing in World Cups, but USA doesn't make it? If ICC can have the USA compete at some level, it'll open a new market for the game.

The problem is that until last yeand even now, the game has been taken over by the West Indian people here who have favored mostly their own people. Hardly any Desi would get a chance to play for USA. Also they had 40 year old players playing for the team. The average age would be 35. How would a team do good when average age of team is 38ish?? Now I think they have realized and gotten lot of young guys. They appointed recently Robin Singh also for under 19 players. I think it's starting to change now. We should see USA improving at international stage. Though it will still take plenty of time but the changes are starting to happen finally.

Basic understanding of role of intangible aspects like that of motivation, inspiration etc. would also help.
