KhanSaab Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 :hysterical::hysterical: @ clueless guys posting in Politics threads without an understanding of how deep, old and relevant India's relation with the Palestine go! Exactly, its almost as if these guys started paying attention to geopolitics and diplomacy from yesterday onwards.
arun81 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I definitively know more thanwhat the Resident Green brigade of India and the Mullah brigade of pakis know about Diplomacy and Indo-Israel ties
NeutralCat Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 We were in league with the Arab's for decades and we found out the hard way that they never supported us. It's about time we seek out countries that will be a help to us, the game of geopolitics is complex, India for too long was a inward looking country only in the last 20 years or so we have woken up. China has outpaced us in almost every department and we will forever be damned to playing catch up with them.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 :hysterical::hysterical: @ clueless guys posting in Politics threads without an understanding of how deep, old and relevant India's relation with the Palestine go! So what is India doing to help the Palestinians? They did jack when Gaza was bombed :bebored:
NeutralCat Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 hehhe India ignored the Palestinians, and paid lip service, I have to doubt they told Israel what they were going to do, even Israel did not react to what India said. :winky:
hari504504 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Why don't you tell us the route Einstien ? If we are kissing Arab ass for oil' date=' Then its high time we develop alternate fuel arrangement. [b']Wahabism is added for free with the oil and we see the afteraffects now in Kerala.... 'alternate fuel arrangement' is a nice word to brandish around.. not only us, the entire world is looking at it and it presents immense technological challenges. "We" are not developing anything :haha:..not today..not tomorrow.. "We" can't even make a decent car or a plane... For the foreseeable future nothing is replacing Oil, the only hope is that vast deposits of it are apparently present in the arctic region and Russia/Europe are trying to move quickly and lay claim to it.
achilles Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Whatever relations we have today with Israel is thanks to Subramaniyan Swamy and the push he gave to our government.
hari504504 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 There are distinch paralells for our international policy compared with China's relations to Israel and the Arab world. It is delusional to think that Israel would put itself on the line in any future conflict that India gets involved in, our relationship is platonic - we buy the military hardware, pay good money for anything we get from them. If Israel was truly India's "besht-est " friend as is being claimed by some, they wouldn't have sold hardware to China who are the bigger threat to us at the moment. Infact Israel would have even sold China the same AWACS that they sold to us if the Americans hadn't twisted their arm and blocked the sale to China . The Chinese J-10s were modelled on the Israeli -"Lavi" blueprints..the Israeli fighter being developed in the 90s which was scrapped after America sold them top-end falcons.

Wahabism is added for free with the oil and we see the afteraffects now in Kerala....[/quote'] Want to tell us what Wahabism actually is? What is the difference in the understanding of the Tawhid as per the Wahabis, Salafis, Ahl -e Hadees and Barelvis? Can you name some prominent Wahabi preachers in India. Which areas are they concentrated in? Do you know what Wahabis think of Hazrat Nizammuddin Auliya? Do you know what they think of the Sufis? The biggest importers of Middle Eastern Oil are China and Japan. Going by your logic, 'wahabism' must be rampant there too. Or are you just throwing around random terms you have absolutely no clue about? Is it a case of elventionary prastiocraniosis on religious zetaphrasology to appear accrumbent? Vijay, I believe I wouldn't be the best person to answer this question. I've barely encountered rural Muslims. And most that I have encountered have been recent migrants from rural areas. My understanding is that a rural, semi literate Muslim would hardly be aware of the issues facing the larger Muslim world. I don't think they would know much about Palestine and it certainly would be a non factor while voting. Semi literate does not equal stupid. For the lower rung of the Indian society a vote is a rare chance to get in people who can better their own lives. I suspect the party that promises subsidized sugar, free hand pumps to BPL farmers etc would stand a much better chance than a party that spews some rhetoric about Palestine. PS: Muslims are targeted in Europe?
Mariyam Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 But I have heard stories of Indian's who travel to Israel and they have said they were blown away by how friendly the people were towards them, they were welcomed like brothers and sisters . People would approach them and ask if they were from India and always praised India and hold India in high regard. Why does India always back the Arab's against Israel? I have heard stories of Indians who traveled to Pakistan and they have said that they were blown away (unintended pun :P) by how friendly the people were towards them, they were welcomed like brother and sisters. I have also heard horror stories from Indian students who went to study medicine in Russia. Does that prove anything? Why should personal level interaction between people be indicative of the relations between the nations should be. At a personal level, I've encountered only polite and friendly people in China and Iran. Interacting with the Chinese, you'd never get this feeling that they view India as an enemy.

PS: Muslims are targeted in Europe? China being a Communist and Japanese have kept the Green Brigade under check and hence less radicalization. Other than Xinjiang Province, Muslims doesn't belong in the Han race. Here in India they are running amok, Thanks to the Pseudos and INC. So don't tell me Sauds have not exported the Militant version of your religion in places like Kerala, Bengal etc. You can always play the victim card. Its your choice What is the ethnic connection between the Indian and Palestine Muslims ? Nothing really. Its just your Global Brotherhood BS.

Every country has a right to seek it for its interests. India has a govt that loots his own people siding with religious votebanks who are hell bent on destroying the majority
NeutralCat Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Hopefully we get some Jewish/Israeli people joining this site, would be good to get their point of view as well.
Stuge Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 If you get an Israeli stamp on your passport, you probably will have a tough time entering into some Muslim countries. Heck, Malaysia doesn't even allow Israeli passport holders to enter inside. Pretty poor considering Malaysia is one of the so called "progressive" Islamic countries. lose your passport and get a new one in that case after visiting Isreal. between which islamic states are worth Visiting ? KSA ?? naah maybe malaysia or UAE or Turkey . between India's relations with Palestine isn't new .if I'm right India was the first non arab country to recognize PLO .

You've to make the request to the immigration counter before even handing over the passport. They are accomodating of such requests and is used a lot by business travellers.
NeutralCat Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 There is a lot of depth to the relationship, they are helping us in a lot of fields, agriculture is one of them and they are know to be very good in desert farming etc. In fact the people to people relationship is very high as well.
The Outsider Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Is there even a strategic depth to Indo-Israeli relationship? It has a purely transactional feel to it with India laying its hand on whatever high technology arms they can supply. Israel offers little else, it's not a commodity rich country, doesn't have a big enough market and by no means a substantial source of investment. Palestine would fare even worse but they have the backing of oil rich OIC. Add to this our own domestic muslim electorate who cannot help but stay beholden to their pan-religious identity. Last assembly elections in Bihar, Laloo and Paswan had an Osama look alike accompany them to rallies. If they could, our politicians would invite Hafeez Saeed to canvass for them. Do you have any data to justify that Indian Muslim voters actually cast their votes based on Palestine and Bin Laden? As far as I know the Bin Laden look alike lost the elections.
NeutralCat Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 Actually Indian Muslims are pretty good when you compare them to the Arabs and the Pakis, they enjoy living in a democratic country and if you look at India as a whole, Muslims in general have done quite well in our country.
NeutralCat Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 ^^ Didn't know about all that, that is disgusting.
