Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 He has a hot head which is not necessarily a bad thing if it can help him help score runs rather than lose focus and his wicket. . its not a bad thing elsewhere, but for an indian cricketer, its definitely a bad thing. most indians want their cricketers to be nice guys and well mannered gentlemen, the kind that they would want to marry their daughters to, and the kind they wouldn't feel ashamed to worship. hence why the likes of tendulkar and dravid are revered...their pure, virgin-like behaviour (in public, anyway) would grant them easy access to heaven the moment they die. a guy like ganguly was labeled as an arrogant haramkhor his entire career, and the guy was a saint compared to kohli...i don't recall any emotional outbursts from him on field like we see from kohli. he won't gt away from the label that gets attached from him...and once the senior citizens leave and the team starts winning again, the media will need a target. kohli makes for an easy one. everything is all well and good when he is scoring runs, but the moment the runs dry up, the criticism will be amplified due to his on-field behaviour and it won't be focused on his batting. he will routinely see his behaviour being called into question, and judging by how easily he gets wound up, he could find his life becoming a lot more difficult unless he grows up and shuts it all out.
Old guy Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 im not worried abt kohli...he goes for wins.. and even opponents respect his competitiveness and he showed its actual anger and hurt by improving he reminds me so much of ponting ! even soem of his back foot shots :P maybe he is nearer to clarke but he is def unlike most indian players

Okay, agree with all that, but who the eff cares?? Only media cares. Let them care. Why do you get involved with their plot than. If you don't give a damn about it(like me) than just don't give a damn about media too. Let them bark.
