Ishant was the fastest bowler for India in the test series. We all know what he did. Quality trundler is far better than a crappy genuine quick. Link to comment

He has a long career ahead. He has more MOS performances than any other pacer for India. You do not discard bowlers like Ishant if he has problems then those can be worked upon and corrected. We can only compare him to what we have and we had in the past. You are talking like we have Styen or Harris sitting outside in the bench. We played Vinay to grab his chance at Perth, look at what happened. If Vinay had bowled well, he had the chance to take Ishant's place but no, he is not better than Ishant. Rather than abusing and discarding Ishant, we must hope that he works on his technical issues and come back well again. Losing a genuine talent like Ishant is a big loss. We have already lost talents like Munaf and Pathan and Sreesanth and RP Singh are too on that way.
